Look guy,

*I* have no problem with people using whatever patches, cheats, or whatever they feel like.

*I* was objecting to Kael. *READ* his arrogant excuse for a post before you bust *MY* chops will ya. HE was the one claiming that (paraphrasing) that if you didn't use all the unofficial patches out there to make the game 'more challenging' then you weren't "really" playing BG II. I take STRONG OFFENSE.

So before the rest of you bust my chops, READ the entire thread will ya??

Kael wasn't being arrogant, he was encouraging people to download the patches because they made ToB more fun, how about you learn how to read? Nowhere did he said that "if you don't download improved boss patches you sux". Like I said before, get off the friggin inferiority complex dumbass.

Hey woh hang on. All of you this is uncalled for. No more talk about this ok? Lets not get banned by Buck. Consider this argument over and talk about strategies to defeat Demogorgon. Agreed?

I don't care if I get banned or NOT. Pinky has NO right to call me a dumbass or anything else. To quote Kael, "Everyone should have downloaded the Improved Beholder patch, the Demogorgon patch..." IF THAT is not implying that those of us who wish to use what is OFFICIAL is somehow 'inferior' then I don't KNOW WHAT IS.

You just made an enemy Pinky. I hope you are proud of yourself.

Ok, I did beat him. But I would say everybody schould download the patch, and many will probably not be good enough to beat him, :) </STRONG>
OK here is where I can see where some of the problem is with this agrument. BTW makes me a little angry as well. So before it gets to nuts, Kael the unknown can explain what is meant buy this statment you said. I hope you are not saying that I am not good or something. That would be very rude.

I agree with Polaris. This comment is antagonistic.

Hey guys, I don't find this antagonistic at all, whatsoever, not even in the slightest. I really think some of the problem is language barrier and subtleties that we all have in reading the English based on our own background. Presumably, Kael is Swedish. It sounds like Kael was trying to say that in his opinion the game is more fun with more difficult monsters. Note that he wrote "I would say". He was just trying to express his opinion, and opinions are always welcome on this board. Going from an imperative statement "you guys should do something" to a recommendation "I think you guys should do something" is really a subtle difference in language and context. I would give Kael the benefit of the doubt in this case (unless there is other evidence?) and say that the quote was just fine.

On the other hand, what is not welcome is flaming or swearing or insulting people because of those opinions. The subsequent flaming was really uncalled for and it should stop. This "making yourself an enemy" stuff is crap and has no place in this forum.

I just don't see why some people would dissect a good intentioned sentence for hidden meaning especially when it came from someone who admitted to be not very fluent in English.

I made an enemy on an electronic message board ooOoOoooo. *shiver*
