I dont know if there to lazy. I think it is just easier to take a ship then to build one from scratch.

Saul's ship
During the Mandalorian wars when Saul was a Captain he commanded a ship called "Courageous" which was as big as a super star destroyer or possibly bigger. Wookiepedia has an article about his ship and his earlie carrer if u are interested
