I read at a gaming site that Microsoft might release a HD-DVD version of the XBox 360 sometime next year, though I can't remember where I found that article. :( And about that external HD-DVD drive, I've heard of it but you can't play games on it. It's just to watch HD-DVD movies only.

From what I read from previous articles on gaming site like Gamespot, Japanese developers developing games for the XBox 360 have been pressuring Microsoft to use the HD-DVD format on the XBox 360 as the games they develop are large in size until they can't even fit into an ordinary dual-layer DVD. The reason is because they use a lot of hi-res CG videos for their cutscenes compared to their western counterparts, who uses real-time graphics for cutscenes instead to save space and costs.

No, FTW.

Metal Gear Solid is not worth my $500. I will however play it at one of my friends' house when they get it. :p :D

I will be camping out for a couple, though all of them will end up on Ebay.

All these no's, yet Calgary was sold out for pre-orders two hours at the latest after starting them at the stores. Gamestop officially stopped them the same day as the preorders started.

Sounds like the 600 dollars isn't stopping as many people as I thought it would, although I suspect that about 20,000 of those PS3s will be showing up for a tidy amount on eBay in a few weeks.

@Hill,
I can't really say I'm all that surprised actually.
Let's face it....GB tends to have *a lot* of PC Gamers..so it's not exactly the most accurate of.... samples :D

I feel so unpure. Luckily, it's balanced by my knowledge of every single one of you. This is why you should never post personal information on a forum. :D

*sniffs as he preorders several PS2/PC games for comfort*

Anyways, I would have thought, that even if there were not that many people interested in PS3s on GameBanshee, 2 hours to sell out the entire pre-order stock seems like even more PC based sites would have had more people in the "yes" options.

Not that it matters, I plan to pick it up in May for when the first good games come out. No crap Sports games for me, which make up half of the nineteen pre-order games.
