I'll choose the Warhammer 40,000 universe as I've played Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War before and it's expansion pack, Winter Assault. :) I'll go with the Space Marines for this one. ;) Okay, time to kill some Orcs. So, where do I sign up? :D

A brave new world, for certain. I'm a doll, so I would fit right in. :)

I would prefer to stay here, but if I was forced to move, it'd probably be LotR, but I wouldn't be happy about it. Narnia would be cool.

@Joku
Here's some information about Culture and some other civilizations
Thanks for the link. Well, the Culture is not my cup of tea to be sure, I do read and enjoy a lot of scifi. I was pretty familiar with all the others, just had never encountered "The Culture", oddly enough.

@LordAce
Narnia would be cool.
Absolutely!!! I'm checking the backs of all my armoirs and wardrobes. :D

I think "Red Dwarf" would be great... a huge empty spaceship with just me, drifting through space. Now, if I could just turn off the silly hologram and get the cat to stay in the other end of the ship, life would be perfect!

See, here's the problem. For a relatively un remarkable guy like me, I would end up as "Slovenly Palace Guard No. 5" - the one who gets eaten by the Luggage. Even in the somewhat utopian world of Star Trek, I would end up as a non-descript Security guy wearing a red shirt, or maybe as an unnamed asteroid miner. :D

People who want to live in the fantasy worlds always assume that they would be a Jedi Knight or Dragon Rider or something quite grand. Its the same thing with those people who think they've lived past lives - always as Egyptian Goddesses or Roman Centurion Heroes.

Remember - if we all lived in Star Wars world, D!ck Cheney would be the Emperor, and Bloodstalker would be Jar Jar Binks. :speech:

See, that's part of the whole appeal :D

I think I go with Forgotten Realms this time. Becasue I am already living there in my head, I think I live life as a mysticall diviner of varius dieties from the Faerun already, so I probably would have a better job and lots of friends.

I like waht Fable said, add a few chooses and don't forget some people don't want to move from this world.

How about Hyboriean Civilization of Conan.
Or the Marvel Universe or world of DC.
Now that I think about we should all make our own world a personal fanticy, and enjoy life to the fullest.

How about the world of darkness?
Not as bad as it sounds btw. :D

It's our normal boring world, but with the supernatural... except nobody believes it's real.
So there would be magic and creatures of the night that nobody knows of.... ok never mind.:laugh:

Don't forget about immortality! Now that would be a good reason to change realities...at least for me.

it would be nice to live in a world with a 'save' and 'load' option. i think everyone's wished for that at some point.

I like Bloodstalker's choice of Discworld a LOT! :D Yes, I'd go there like a shot! Preferably to the Granny Weatherwax/Tiffany Aching areas. Though Ankh Morpork would be.... interesting. ;)

But another place I like a lot is Albion. Most of you won't have played the game; not one of your top-class games. ;) But I loved it, and I loved the world.

I am not familiar with "The Culture" but of the others listed, 6 were scifi and only 2 were fantasy. Thinking of other fantasy worlds how about Piers Anthony's Xanth. That would be a interesting place to live. :laugh:
I'm sure there are a lot of other great fantasy worlds as well.
Xanth is another good one! :D

And so is Pern. I'd love to be a dragon rider - but if I couldn't, I'd still like to live there. :)

Ah... did you ever read "Thud!"? The Yeti's in Thud! had a 'save' function. If they died, they came back at the point in their life they last saved...

I loved that bit. Made me laugh gently.

lol! I agree with you there... Terry Pratchett is wonderfull :D
... And Granny Weatherwax is my very favourite fantasy 'anti-heroine' :cool:

..Hmmm.. Ankh Morpork, eh? Having a a craving for a Dibbler bun by any chance? :speech:

How could you not be attracted to a world like this? :D

That would have been my choice as well. I'd rather kill myself and donate my body to medicine than be stuck in any of these one-dimensional, boring, predictable stereotype excuses for a "world".
