Here is yet another idea.

There are 7 different countires to join. Each country has different, attributes/towns/benifits to offer. You create your character and so on and so forth. However, this is where it gets interesting. after that, you decide what class you want to be, however all the clases you choose work toghther in tandem to fight huge battles. Example. There are two cities of different towns near each other. One town moves it's army to attack and take the other town. It results in a huge battle of 750 men in total, being split into battalions and so on. Each army would be led by a genral with captians under him,, so he would give overall orders, with the captians giving more specific orders. With every man a real character think of the possibilities. One man could, if good enough hold off 20 in a valiant defense, to rally his troops and save the day. In that case he would gain hero benifits and new class options would become availible. It would combine, RPG, with massive battles, with strategy, and politics, and espionage, etc. The two biggest problems would be keeping the countries fairly divided up, and getting enough people for the battles.

it could be kept even if there was good enough AI to have other countries capture your cities. Would it be a game with modern weapons, WW2 weapons, medieval, what?
When a few people die, it's a tragedy. When thousands do, it's a statistic.

Do tell. I am sure we would all like to hear your thoughts on potency.

I second the motion for a RPG based on the Harem Tent. :D

Hmmm... I suppose it depends on how you define "potency." I mean...the word can have multiple intercorrelations..... :p

You're volunteering for active duty should such a thing come to pass? :D

Precisely. For example, in the realm of social intercourse, potency is generally related to how many multiple intercorrelations are possible during a single encounter. But forgive me. I didn't mean to put things... erm.... words in your mouth. How would you personally define the length, breadth, and scope of potency?

As for volunteering, I guess that would depend on how active the duty was. :D

Indeed. However the effects of said encounter can vary depending upon the... insights and abilities of the participants. For example, should a person be...lacking in.. heightened... social awareness, their ability to perform well in such a situation will be severely hampered.. :p

Ah, but such definitions have such a personal touch involved, and thus they are so very difficult to truly delineate. But, to provide you with a more generalised picture, I believe that length, breadth, and potency are entirely dependent upon the individual wielding them.

Oh, I imagine given the effort required for a creative endeavour of such magnitude the duty would most certainly be of the most active variety imaginable.

The idea I mentioned previously was more of a joke and I wrote it so that I can laugh myself silly as to how impossible it is to implement in an RPG. :D Oh well, this time, I'll be serious.

Aside from wanting a stable and an enjoyable game, I would like to see an RPG that doesn't strive to be original (Hey, you have to admit, it's hard to be original these days) and add features that I would seldom or never use at all. I would like to see an RPG that take successful elements of games from different genres and merge them together to suit the RPG environment. Quite a few games managed to pull this off successfully. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Clever. Given that we are discussing an arrangment of social interdigitation, however, one would hope that there would be an appropriate massaging of social awareness such that the given participants could rise to the occaision. Requirements that one party should bear the responsibility of bringing the requisite interpersonal turgor to the table seem heavy-handed at best.

Wielding, spielding madam. I believe you have done the concept of potency a disservice, denuding it to such a degree that any spastic studmuffin with a hefty spatula can said to be potent. What about the elegant artistry of a florist: the gentle spread of petals, the careful arrangement of stamins, the crescendo of colors and texture cascasding to a climax of sensory exhaltation?

The most active variety imaginable? Oh, I can imagine it very well. Given the topic of this thread, shall we go with liquid libations, a harem tent, and you as my odalisque? :p :D

I agree with DesR85 that many RPGs unravel themselves trying to be too "edgy" or original. I would rather play a solid RPG with a great ending and a satisfying emotional payoff (like PS:T) than anything pretenious (like the first Black and White tile).
