fighters that dual class to mage can wear corthola family armor if they have at least 9 str, 18 dex, and 11 wis. Vecna is way better though.Very cool, but I like the robe of Vecna for the faster caster. Plus, IIRC, you still can't cast spells while in armor. Please correct me if I'm wrong....

Extortionist and trained pain in the ass, at your service.
Can you hit opponents who need +4 weapons to hit with the Firetooth. It shoots +2 arrows but is a +4 weapon. Anyone know for sure? If you are, this is a must-have weapon.Originally posted by Lykwid:

Id make #4 a wizard slayer dueled to theif instead of kensia to theif, the use any item skill actually benifits a wizard slayer more than a kensia IMO.
Also for the archer its hard to pass up crossbows, because extremely early in the game(as soon as you get 14k) you can go to watchers keep and buy the firetooth +4 that doesnt need ammo. You dont have to attempt watchers keep till later but you can still buy the crossbow, it does a ton of damage too.

On Wizard Slayer/Thief and Kensai/Thief. Both dualled on level 9. Wizard Slayer gets the following advantages: Magic resistance 18% (not much anything) and the miscast magic ability, which is quite cool, but not nearly as nice as the things kensais get. (If you could have greater whirlwinds with the miscast magic thing, enemy spellcasters wouldn't be able to do much anything (100% casting failure in 1 turn) but with WS/Thief you wont)
The Kensai gets: -2 AC bonus, +3 to Hit and Dam, -2 bonus to attack speed (nice when backstabbing) and Kai (also nice when backstabbing). Judge for yourself which is better.

If you go get Firetooth early, does that count as visiting the first level of the Keep?
If so then there will only be a few statues due to low levels and you miss out on Foebane +3.
That would be a damn shame since that weapon kicks butt later on in the game. I guess it balances out but if you don't go into the Keep does it still affect the number of statues??

I won't do this until the Infinity Engine monster scripting guild is finished with an AI upgrade for all the enemies. I originally thought I would do the game in multiplayer, but it's a bit of a pain in the butt. The voices are boring and it takes a long time to reload each game. I decided instead to customize each of the standard NPCs using Shadowkeeper. Here's my powerparty:
Prot. (f,h,CE) Wizard Slayer(24)/Thief
Korgan Barbarian
Edwin Skald (will be weird, I know)
Cernd Druid(12)/Fighter
Jan Swashbuckler(13)/Mage
Viconia Cleric/Ranger
I know this will make the die-hards whince, but hey, souped-up BG2 will be a bit harder! As you can see, I like a combat-heavy, spell-light party that just powers through with axe and sword. Edwin will be weird as a Bard, but I just like him too much to replace him. We'll do lots of evil things all over the place.

The question is, will this party transit over into tob, or import without crashing?
I might mutate my party once I transit over to tob or in a blank tob game, but really, the super deformed party is fun to think about.
Gee, what would be nice is if someone created an item to give you all the perks successfully completeing soa and underhell, so you can do a fresh game of tob with all the perks you should have had for finishing soa....

@ Spork: I tried something along the same lines... Turned Minsc into a Monk and Jaheira into a Human Berserker/Druid. The game would crash at regular intervals during rests... Be careful what you do with ShadowKeeper; some spells have multiple entries, and picking a wrong one may have caused these problems. Try CLUA-ing in scrolls to learn spells if possible; that never gives trouble.
