I`m going round now without doing the Jaheira romance. I`ll see if you get those points, but I don`t think you do.

First of all, ranting rpg guy - romances don't initiate in dungeons and there IS a "distance to the rest of the party" restriction.. Second of all, most of our daily life and interactions with others are based, to some extent at least, on attraction and sex. So if you could fall for the girl in your class or the cute colleague at work, you can certainly fall for the elven maid that shares a camp fire with you, after a day's worth of traveling and monster slaying. Or maybe that's just me and i'm in terrible need of help.

DW what do you mean, me and Viconia love each other! You mean to say that she is not real? But.. But..... But i love her! :D

Uh..

Umm.. Ok, I want you to know that I've tried search alredy and tried to check other topics. I'm just not good at using search.

So, where I can download Jaheira's romance fix? You've mention it several times (I mean, you've mention fix)but I can't find it anywhere. So, please help.

Like I'm going to make two posts? No way!

I also have bug. Characters won't attack without command. I mean, villains can hit them several times, but they won't act unless I order them to do so. I chanced script few times but it won't help.

Thxbye.

Have you turned AI off by mistake? There should be a thing with glowing eyes at the bottom right of the screen. If the eyes are not glowing then you need to click on it to turn on party AI.

I believe you refer to the official patch. You can find it here for just shadow of amn (although this 1 is without a fix for the Jaheira romance (not necassary), you should install this one.) and here for including throne of bhaal.

btw the ai button are not eyes (that is icewind dale 2). You can find it below the portraits on the left side (left from the select all button).

From what I remember, Aerie was a bitchy character to romance. Viconia was kind of interesting though.

Seltzer, I think you've got things mixed up.
Viconia was the bitch and Aerie was an angel in bed

race, gender, and romance

I still think it's sad that for us female gamers out here, all we get in Anomen (which doesn't work if you're not "good"). And what's with this gender/orientation thing- I doubt it'd be terribly out of character for Jahiera to romance a female character (IMHO, but that may be my bias).

My real question is- (after I started playing male characters since that is more interesting romantically)- what's the racial bias? I mean, I know Viconia won't date elves, but does anyone date gnomes? How about dwarves? Or half-orcs? Does anyone know?

Well, you can download a mod that allows to skip racial limits. But I don't belive any of the romances originally gives a gnome a chance to be loved ;)

As for us female gamers, I'm totally with you on that, men have everything proferred to them, whilst us girls always have to fight for our right  Anyway, there's plenty of very good mods out there that give splendid romances to female pc's. Take Edwin for example - he's evil all right, but what is the most important stat to romance him? Intelligence! Fancy that. And it's great fun, too. Or you can play Kivan - I'm actually very much in love with Kivan right now ;) Tsujatha is said to be nice... and Kelsey... and Xan... So it's not that bad :D

Edit: doesn't Aerie romance gnomes? Her uncle and best friend was a gnome, after all.
