Making a character who is always "good" is no fun. Make a character who is redeemed, instead. That's what KotN is for.

Depends on your point of view. I started out playing virtuous chars, and refused to play DB and TG, and was shocked to find even FG had had something morally shocking in it, and after the first time, I wouldn't even play that again either... since then I have been corrupted!Cionaoith wrote:Making a character who is always "good" is no fun. Heh! Sounds like fun! :mischief:galraen wrote: Hmm, you think we haven't done the bad guy/gal stuff too Cionaoith? I have gone the other way though; had a character that got all neurotic an#bout the fact that Marten got all the praise and enlisted in the Mythic Dawn and overthrew the empire [the excellent Servant of the Dawn Mod].
In order for a bad guy to seek redemption there has to be a motive. I did find a route for one character, who was a Dunmer with a grudge against the dark Brotherhood. He joined them to bring them down from within; who having completed his mission (I'd un-essentialed the DB hierarchy) did indeed set about atoning for his sins by following the KotN quest.
Although this thread is about weaponry in Shivering Isles (I still think a self enchanted perfect Madness/Amber weapon is the best, apart from Dusk/Dawn Fang), I found the weaponry in KOTN to be rather disappointing.
