I don't know for a fact whether or not you can dual an archer or not. I have not tried. I merely meant to say that I have dualed a ranger to a cleric (it is cheese) and wondered....since an archer is only a ranger kit.
Tell you what Let me give it a try and see what I come up with.

Seem there was a anti-cheese programmer at BIS that disliked dual Archers/Clerics...
Strangest is that it seems (from what I've read) to work with the Beastmaster kit !!
Don't see the logic behind the restriction, as more totally stupid duals are possible, such as Wizard Slayer/Mage ( hilarious , Berserker/Mage not bad either), or Kensai/Thief (Master of Sword goes broke... ) !!
I believe you could uninstall ToB and BG2, then reinstall BG2, create a Archer/Cleric or Stalker/Cleric and then reinstall ToB. Am I right? The Archer/Cleric makes small sense though, as he can only put ** in slings but the Stalker/Cleric could do some nice back stabbing with staves.

Life seems short considering how long you will be dead.

I play a paladin. I think it's a good class especialy when u have the HA, I deal average 25 damage a hit and it dispells magic. btw how many specilization stars can a pally have?

A paladin can have 2 stars in specialization...but really I think with the HA that is really enough. The other three levels are nice, but you see the big improvement from 1 star to two.
I like the Paladin kits better, but the Archer is extremely lethal. If you've ever teamed an Archer with an inquisitor, then you're one of those people who don't complain a wqhole lot about mages being too powerful.
I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.
