Nah, we Aussies are still infiltrating the Danish royals, and Princess Mary's a Tasmanian so we've got a head start on the inbreeding already.

A bump, to show what happens when iron-fisted leaders don't plan for succession...
[url="http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/12/01/2758221.htm"]Uber-conservative Tony Abbott takes over the still-floundering Liberal party, in the third leadership change in 2 years.[/url] The issue that drove it all to a head was a ridiculously inadequate Emissions Trading Scheme where the Liberals had gotten pretty much every concession they asked for, which was identical to the one Howard himself proposed back in 2007, and which they had agreed to support but then backed out on. The arch-conservative wing had a tantrum, ousted incumbent leader Malcolm Turnbull (social moderate), and Tony Abbott got the leadership by 1 vote. We'll probably have a double dissolution election, which will decimate the Liberals even more, and if we're really lucky fracture their party allowing for more of a Greens/left-Labor/centrist-Coalition/right 3-party system - hooray!
