Enjoying it so far, except the first couple of enemies seem overly powerfull, and the lack of them makes it hard to grind/farm to raise lvl.
Just a heads-up if you're starting Arcanum: DX is the most important combat stats, as it affects speed, which determines the amount of times you can act. INT is important for learning schematics. Learn the electroring-schematic ASAP. Each ring grants +2 DX. Buy all bullets that you can, and learn the bullet schematic. Learn some basic melee skill and carry a weapon. Carry enough healing items and bandages: there are some long parts where you won't be able to resupply.
ST is important insofar that it determines carrying capacity: carrying too much reduces your speed, hence your actions. It also (partly) determines HP. Party members are good mules, though. ;)

Sorry for the rant, but a lot of people break down when playing the game for the first time with a Techie, if they don't know the mechanics. :)
PE is only important for the Firearms skill.

Currently playing a beautiful Elf melee character with an extreme personality. In combat, he's about speed, so highest Dexterity possible and Temporal spells. Light armours, light weapons to reduce encumbrance and maximize speed.

Instead of Strength he trained into Backstab and Conveyance and Phantasm. Don't want him to be a typical meathead after all, so Strength must be minimized. A finesse fighter is always way cooler than power fighter. Especially he can also teleport all over the battlefield at will at the same time.

On a side note, Backstab works great even without Invisibilty or Prowling.
