You mean your real name is Marduk?
What, that obnoxious bruiser? Hah! I was a lot more laid back. Used to play cards with Shamash, Sin, and Shullat. Oh, the fun we used to have! And before you tell me cards weren't invented yet, we knew that. We just didn't bother with linear thinking. :)
He rides his storm-chariot driven by Slayer, Pitiless, Racer, and Flyer, poison-toothed, tireless steeds...
We called them Cold, Hot, Cloudy, and Stinky, behind Marduk's back. Of course, he could see and hear us anyway, but since he hated laughter, he made believe he didn't, and we just chortled all the more.

Hm, if you were a goddess, I suppose you could be Lamashtu - "she who erases". You know, "post deleted, thread closed" angle. Are you sure you are not a goddess? :)

lol!
Careful... you'll give him a gender crisis...

In which case we could always start referring to Fable as:
"She who must be obeyed."

And no, it's not that picture. That's one of Xandax, attending the Danish branch of the J. Edgar Hoover Lookalike Contest.

I just checked. Nope, still a god. :) Of course, many Babylonian gods (of both sexes) paid little attention to fussy Jahweh-come-latelies and their narrow gender-based prejudices. Ishtar for example made quite an effective god of war, love, and childbirth. Nowadays some scholars claim she actually combined the role of two separate gods, but in reality she was just a very nice, athletic kid who wanted to help people do what they did best: killing and ****ing one another. I tried to make her understand the humanity had higher functions, but she laughed, and bet me I was wrong.

We still consider the matter unresolved.

... this is serious groupie stuff! :D

Perhaps fable would start some cult with Tolden at the helm, somewhat like Weasel and the COMMies.

The Helm of Tolden: An artifact that grants the wearer the ability to appear as a newcomer at GameBanshee. Highly valued in some circles. ;)

And what is BSG? Is that like MSG, but not?

Maybe: Boston Square Garden. :D

BSG is the new cult? So does it stand for anything, or is like John McCain, who stands for nothing? And are there any fez hats? I mean, if they aren't going to offer tandoor, the least they could do is provide their members with fez hats.

It seems to me that Tolden has his work cut out for him. :D

I still like Boston Square Garden better.

*CIA agents are in place, waiting to see if this new cult will sprout like mushrooms... with a pinch of tandoori* :mischief:

Boston I like, but I'm not familiar with any square garden. Madison Square Garden, yes, but that's an eyesore I'd really rather forget. :D And there is excellent tandoor to be had in both cities.

Maybe we can make this BSG cult require new members to each provide their own tandoor feast for the rest of us. And fez hats. Oh, and a gong. We must have a gong! One of those extra large, J. Arthur Rank gongs that seemed to shake the entire screen when you watched old British films of the 1940s and 50s.

Fable, I tire of your slanderous ways. Our dinner party is now canceled. Our BATTLESTAR GALACTICA viewing extravaganza? Dismissed. Our very partnership? Sadly, dismembered. Please cease the phone calls and faxes. Our business is finished.

Just for reference-

BSG = Battle Star Galactica, it's similar to the scary movie/epic movie/superhero movie saga. It's an ungodly crappy show but for some reason, the directors, writers, and producers seem to keep getting money.

Tolden, here is some Fable trivia, just for you: His Fabulousness has not been watching television for the last three thousand years. I suspect He does not even know what television is. Moreover, He chooses not to know - in Babylonian Heaven, this divine state of Not Knowing is called thinking outside the "box". We are blessed with this info because He occasionally switches to Common so we all could benefit from His Infinite Wisdom.

I am not sure about loins but I am definitely planning to watch BSG this Friday. So Say We All! :D

Sorry that I don't match the standards you set for everybody, LD. Guess my wanting to do other things than watch television is just plain wrong. I should learn from you! :)

Now, you see, that's one thing none of us slumming gods ever did in Babylon: we never referred to ourselves in the third person plural. :D
