New Punk and Hardcore Bands:
Allergic to Whores - fast, furious, angry punk with tunes.
Boonaraaas, The - all girl Sixties-style garage punk rock.
Coldsnap-9 - a mix of hardcore and melodic punk.
Daltonz - Austrian hardcore/punk band.
Demonics, The - California drag-punk trio, fresh from Hell.
Dog**** Boys, The - snotty and fierce hardcore tunes with somewhat pornographic lyrics.
Down-n-Outs - fusing punk, garage, and surf.
Dropdead - brutal hardcore/thrash band.
Fate's End - punk emo band from South Jersey.
Flakes, The - trashy, retro, garage punk rock'n'roll.
Operation Makeout - indie/punk band from Vancouver, B.C.
Pit Bull - old school punk band featuring tough guitar riffs and uncontrollable screams.
Stupor Stars, The - playing romantic, high-energy, punk rock'n'roll.
Teen Machine - killer bubblegum power-pop.
Today is the Day - quasi-cult-like in its construction, surgical in its execution, eclectic to a fault.
Trouble Makers, The - Sacramento's greatest garage band!

Great taste.
My favorites would be:
1.Metallica
2.Led Zepelin
3.Pink Floyd
4.Rage Against the Machine
5.Nirvana
6.Black Sabbath
7.Blur
8.Weezer
I play the guitar, mostly Metallica songs, also some Nirvana and Led Zeplin.
The Who are the guys who broke their instruments and all, IIRC(alot of other bands did too). Very wild.
Metallica- I really love their old albums,
"Kill em' all"- This one has tons of drumming, really fast paced.
"Ride the Lightning"- "For Whom the Bell tolls" and "Ride the Lightning" are some of the best songs ever
"And Justice for all"- Really really good. Of all the albums this one has the most good songs.
"Master of Puppets" is pretty good too
"Black Album" Everybody's favorite. This album was the shift from their faster paced older albums(mentioned above), and too the newer slower paced ones."Enter Sandman" Everybody's favorite song to play. "Unforgiven" my favorite song.
"Load" Their worst album.
"Reload" This one's okay. "Memory Remains" and "Unforgiven 2" are very good.
"S&M" Some of the old songs played with the San Fransisco Symphony Ochestra.
Although i listen to Korn, Linkin Park, and such a bit, their nothing compare to the bands i've mentioned.

- first guy with really big nose to be rock star
-started the "we broke up" "not anymore" "well now we did" "oh maybe not" craze
-helped create the whole "dead drummer" joke fad
(co-honoree with zeppelin, def leppard: honorable mention for "injured drummer" jokes)

All time favourite band:
Something For Kate
Anyone not from Australia heard of this band? Their lyrics have been accused of being deep, meaningful and intelligent, but forget the words and listen to the voice and the music...great stuff.

Have to agree
Haven't got the album, i have heard it though, impressed. It is interesting really, they are finally getting decent after so many years of the odd decent song, they were finally getting somewhere and then they split up.
