(Side notes.. I'm not going anywhere Ubik... I am just adding to the story. The guards (protectors) I was refering to where the ones you summoned beside you. You and everybody else should know I cannot make that promise. And I won't mess up the story for the rest of you. No matter which side I do end up on.)

They arrived at the Sphere, and the people running around the streets were casuing quite a blockade between seabass and the golden object. They finally got to the stairs, where mad men were praising the arrival of the "flying ball", they were going on about some clensing and rebirth, but Seabass had been taught not to pay attention to vagrants. They ruin you with fuilthy theories. As they climbed the steep steps, they could start seeing over the crowds , and even though loacted in the Slums district, you could see the towers of the temples not too far away. The sun suddenly blinded me and I turned around, we had come to the entrance, I uttered the password Ubik had given me "GUMBO" I muttered and as the wrod exited my mouth the air filled with stron intense magic. The seemiungly flat surface opened up into an entrance , and we entered. The light of the outside disapearread completely as we entered the sphere, as it was not depending on the local time. It was dusty, and smog felt up the air to form a gas like atmosphere, we could not see much when we continued to travel into the sphere. After a while we started hearing voices, it was all very blurred out but the closer we got, the more we could understand.... the only words I could hear before it suddenly went quiet was "they're here, reinforcements have come gentlemen". You could begin to see shadows taking form from across the room, and the gas quickly arose from the area. Ubik face lit up and greeted us with a mischievous grin "Speaking of the devil".... I returned his comment with a smile and greeted him likewise.... Now what was so important he needed us to come all the way here

Sorden stood staring at the spot on the sphere where the strangers had entered. the door had closed up after they went inside, leaving no trace of the entrance. He glanced down at the mob of angry citizens. hmmmm...looks like someone is really stirring things up down there. he thought. i better go find Bob, this looks important. with that he turned and disapeared into the crowd......

@Fallout:The master wasn't implying that Magus is YOUR master, only that he is the hakeashar's master. Quote: I wish your meals won't be as your invite.??? I don't understand.

@Trip-Wire: In order for the next part to make sense, I'm assuming that you played your lute extremely quietly.

@Melosh-tar: I think we'll ignore the "father" comment Image

@Rail: Put a limit on your item of invisibility (i.e. 2 times a day)

@Omar: I'm glad you've gotten serious. A little humor's fine, but too much can ruin the serious aspect of the story (nobody take that as an insult). I think we've done pretty well so far at keeping things moving and on topic.

Quayle sees Melosh-tar and kneels by his side. "Hold on there, friend. I'll go get Magus. First, take this (retrieves a potion from a bag). It will slow the effects of the transformation, and heal your wounds somewhat." Melosh-tar takes it and drinks it. Quayle hurries off to the Rift to get Magus. He would surely know how to permanently cure the effects of the bite.

Meanwhile...
Startled by the chink of Fallout's chain mail right behind her, the lovely elf maiden whirls around. She calms down at the barbarian's friendly words. "Y-you are Fallout? My lo-Magus spoke of you. As for Aegis and Melosh-tar, they have'nt come yet. You're the first one I've seen here. We-we should see Magus right away. He's been so...preoccupied lately (sighs, looks wistfully in the direction of the tower). Maybe he'll cheer up when he finds out you arrived (brightens a bit, smiles) She walks over to Fallout and touches his arm. Fallout, embarrassed, shrinks back. "Milady..." he stutters.
"But I need to tele-...oh..."she exclaims, and her lovely face reddens as she looks at her feet.
Fallout, wanting more than anything to be alone again, struggles to break the silence. Then he remembers Trip-Wire. "Milady, there's one other here, named Trip-Wire. He went off here somewhere..."(he spots the napping bard) "He's over there," Fallout says, and hurriedly rushes over to escape this pretty lady, who had caused him to become so flustered. His noisy approach wakes Trip-Wire, who seems annoyed at the interruption. Seeing the confused young lady standing nearby, he lets out a sigh and rises. "Would you know where Magus resides? I'm anxious to meet him and get this over with," he declares.
"O-of course. I can teleport us there now," she stammers. She lays her hand on Trip-Wire's shoulder, then remembers Fallout and glances furtively at him. Fallout approaches uncomfortably, and she lays her delicate hand on his shoulder. Then, she quickly chants some magic words, and the surroundings melt away...................

Meanwhile...
Rail quietly trails Aegis as he heads for the city gates. He ducks out of sight when he sees the Invisible Stalker. He's not close enough to hear the exchange, but the fact that Aegis does not attack it greatly surprises Rail. Something is definitely up he thinks. He follows behind Aegis at a safe distance, keeping to cover as best he can.

Aegis follows the Invisible Stalker. It is hard to keep it in sight, but eventually an obelisk can be seen in the distance. As Aegis approaches, he observes the glint of the setting sun on the flowing bluish-purple surface. Aegis, heeding the Stalker's warning, stops about a hundred feet away. He watches as a golden doorway, containing a swirling black vortex, appears, through which the Invisible Stalker vanishes. Cautiously, the cavalier approaches the tower. Nothing strange happens, and within a minute he is standing at the doorway. Always distrustful of magic, Aegis hesitates. Picking up a stick, he pokes it into the vortex. It immediately leaps out of his hands, and is sucked down into the black depths. Aegis involuntarily steps back. Suddenly, a mist seeps out of the opening. Aegis recognizes the form of an evil hakeashar. Ruby red sparks glow where a face would have been on the mistlike form.
Aegis: Foul creature! Do not come any closer, or you will regret it!
The hakeashar's maleavolent eyes seem to burn more brightly, and it whispers Puny mortal...you cannot hope to defeat me here. Put that toy away before I take it from you... The last is said with unmistakable hunger. The hakeashar seems confident. Aegis wonders what could have possessed Magus to keep such a vile creature. Maybe he had changed...mages always were a greedy lot. Regardless, a decision has to be made, and quickly. The hakeashar is growing impatient, and the possibility of a battle grows greater with each moment. He could attack the hakeashar, attempt to make peace with it, or flee. Aegis, though usually confident of his skill, is uneasy. I've nothing to fear from a hakeashar, which can only harm those magical in nature he thinks. Nonetheless, a gut sense tells him this is no ordinary hakeashar. He had already antagonized it, so making peace with it might prove difficult indeed. Fleeing would not only be cowardly, but could prove fatal as well, from the maleavolent glare in the creature's eyes. Aegis considers carefully...

Rail watches everything from a short distance away. Rail's blood pumps with adrenaline. The doorway still stands open...maybe he could sneak in undetected. Who knows what treasures may lie within, his for the taking? But his conscience bothers him. This was obviously the famed Rift, and Magus was once his friend, after all. But the two figures seem much too distracted to notice him, and he is a good enough thief to slip by even if they had been vigilant. Rail, too, must make a faithful decision...

@Aegis+Rail: Don't put too much in your responses. I already have a plan for what's going to happen based on what you do. Beware, for your decisions will inalterably affect the game.

@Fallout+Trip-Wire: Feel free to find your way to Magus. You'll be teleported to the base of the tower, where you can begin your search. He's in the tower. Feel free for now to play Aerie, as long as you play her according to the image I've given of her, and you play her appropriately (in other words, ignore Waverly Image).

@Alienbob: Well, it looks like I'm sort of the acting DM for the good side. It's my job to make sure all the good subplots stay connected. So I got to respond to everybody that's good. If you ask me, this is rather cool. Seems to work well so far. I haven't had any objections yet (I think), so maybe things will remain this way for now. I hope I'm not taking too much control of other people's characters...anybody feel free to complain if I am.

Yup! littul Magus has got a big one... a HUGE one, indeed... har har har... Image

Actually, Magus, Omar's move (to eliminate his nymph calling thingie) is not adding to the story, it takes away some spice, needed by those games nevertheless. I think that is a major drawback in D&D - : They lack the ...pervertion to become quite amusing.

Face it: When someone has seen a couple of things in his real life, you have to give him room to play, not just tie him up with purity bonds (purity... pfui!)

Notice that this has nothing to do with the story. It is going pretty well, and without any X-rated stuff in it! (now if that ain't a surprise, with - humble - me, Gruntboy, Weasel and Waverly participating in it, I have lost the meaning of the word surprise)

Keep on the good work magus (damn, we need an experienced AD&D player in our team... mayber Drakron would reconcider his stance... only if we could convince Chrissy to join us)

Chrissy, wake up! Daddy has got some cookies for you! Chrissy?

Did I miss something? What stance do you hope Drakron to reconsider? I'm sorry, but I don't have any time to read the other threads, what with participating in this story, and keeping up with my schoolwork.

Well, yes, that is the idea. But, don't mind, the story is going on...

Suddenly, the door in Weasel's cell (luxurius, **** cell) opens and a stone giant comes in, with a paper-made box in his mighty hand.

"Master said you enjoy this. Master shall summon you to talk with him in an hour or so. Master is very generous with you"

By telling this, the golem lets the box drop in Weasel's leap. He opens it carefully and finds in...

Thanks, Drakron. I'll remember that when I'm on the ground, with Ubik standing over me, ready to finish me off with a flame arrow. Just cast "Summon Drakron", and Ubik doesn't have a chance! Image Image Image But seriously, thanks for your support. I've got to go and do the homework I've been seriously neglecting til now...see you guys tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have more time, because I don't have any extracurricular activities tomorrow.

So far they are doing fine, If I something show up(like magus Stronghold before) I will say something.
Besides we are not playing by the "RULES" becuse if we are that, would take to much time (Combat, since there is sequence in were the iniciative would play a major role in who start the fight and who would be next) and we all have to start in level 1.
If something Really bends the Rules, I will say so and if I can will correct it.

@Magus: I am glad you remembered by blockhead rant. Thats pricelsee, pokes the void with a stick! ROFLMAO!

Aegis carefully pondered the choices laid out before him. He wished not to run, and be deemed a coward, but as always, he was very distrustful of magic.

Aegis: Very well, creature of evil, take me to your master...

The Hakeshear (Spell it right?) appears to turn, but doesn't make a move. Aegis feels bumps form on his arms as he follows the creature into the swirling mists of Magus domain. He looks beside him, and sees Tag pursue. He feels slightly comfortated by this, by the uneasy feeling remains...

@Ubik: Are you implying I'm an experienced AD&D player? Only if you consider creating one campaign, and playing only a few others being experienced... I don't even have any of those AD&D books. I'm just going on my Forgotten Realms reading, and my experience with all of the Bioware AD&D games. I'm sure plenty of others here could claim more than that. Waverly for one, even though we bicker constantly Image

Parish the thought.

Poor, confused Omar. Perverted, flammed, and now pure. Like a phoenix, he rises. Meet us in the sphere and bring the, erhm, figurine. You are evil, just bring your blue tinted glasses of correct number seeing.

Waverly: is awakened by GB's snoring. He snatches a cookie and begins to look around. He has feline eyes, 9 lives, and curiosity- soon he will begin exploring, and if he should happen to find a scantily clad drow female to rub up against... ah, but thats just suppostion... for now.

I am off to bed. And no, there won't be any erotic dreams from me... Image <--one last time
