I retrieve a tindertwig and keep it ready in my free hand. I whisper a quick prayer to Diirinka and run for the barricade on my right (full round action).

As I close the final few feet of distance, I strike the tindertwig against the floor and try to light the bearskin rug (standard action), I drop the ignited tindertwig at the base of the barricade (free action) and tumble backwards, away from the barricade, remaining crouched (move action).

I hope the fire will weaken the barricade, distract the 4 goblins or (better yet), cause them to flee.

ToDM: If I missed any requisite rolls, please make them on my behalf and advise. Thanks.
As you leave from behind the cover of the wall and run towards the barricade with tindertwig in hand the goblin from behind fires at you with his loaded crossbow letting out a screech.

You take the orc by surprise and immediately spring into action, ignoring the weapon that the orc assumed you would take. You charge in low, and then fuelled by a unique blend of discipline and adrenaline you perform a flying uppercut your knuckles smashing into the orc's lower jaw dislocating it and sending him toppling backwards smashing his head against the stone wall behind him with a splatter of blood, the collision makes him drop his broken axe half and it clatters against the ground, his limp body slowly sliding down to join it, crimson blood trailing behind the head.. The old orc died instantly from the resulting attack, which makes you wonder a plethora of questions ranging from, whether or not the orc actually did know anything about the attack on your monastery or whether he finally found the peace he sought for so long.

Correct. My AC = 10 + 2 + 2, but + 4 vs giants which doesn't apply here

Tumble: 1 + 8 = 9 :(

If I survive, I turn towards the other barricade and fire my own bolt in retaliation...

Attack: 6 + 2 = 8 (I added my DEX modifier, not sure if this is correct or not)
Damage(1d8) = 2 (I have no idea if '8' is a hit, so here's the roll just in case)

and tumble once again to keep moving, peering quickly back at the barricade to see what is happening there...

They played a game that put your limbs, fingers and other body parts at jeopardy, all for fun and laughter.

As I have demonstrated, you have no need to fear an orc. I am but a few inches taller than any of you and took him down with relative ease.

I offer you a chance to join me. Help me escape this complex, help my companion Melkior, your feared prisoner, escape this complex, and I shall bestow upon you many of the teachings of my monastery that allowed me the strength and will to outclass an orc as experienced as him."

Just a quick question where are you tumbling to? Behind a column, back towards the staircase or are you just rolling around the battlefield, also keep in mind that to use "Tumble" you must be able to pick up speed somehow and can't tumble endlessly, unless you're samus aran.

As you make your retreat, you feel a sharp jolt in your right shoulder, and the a blur of pain...

You are hit

Quickly you spin around and fire a bolt at the goblin crossbowman hiding behind his cover.

Dexterity bonus is indeed what you add to ranged attack bonus, however the disadvantage that ranged projectile weapons like the crossbow and bow have is that you can't add your attack bonus or ability modifiers to your damage, with a few exceptions.

8 is a miss.

The bolt pierces the bed barricade they made.

The goblins still being tied up and a wee bit in shock from seeing the mighty orc felled, let alone by a single unarmed strike are left silent. Finally one of them clears his throat and explains, "While I admire your offer we simply can't accept it. Sure the orcs are weak now and we might be able to take over this fort if we wanted, maybe even overpower Grigg himself... but we are constantly outnumbered by the orcs and then theres... well the inquisition." This brings about gasps and whispering among the goblins, as they almost chant the name inquisition.
The 9 fingered goblin then speaks, "We can't change the our fate, however I propose a bargain. You were asking about an attack on the monastery, there recently was quite a stir with Grigg and his boys about a monastery and it all began with a certain... article." Say the goblin wording himself carefully, a cousin of mine on the base, had access to said article along with a group of other oddities, "You free us, and I promise to grant you safe passage to my cousin or at least to the 'article'." The goblin, then waves his hands while in shackles, "Not saying it'll be all the answers you want of course, but definitely better than nothing."

Honestly, I was just trying to keep moving so as to make a difficult target. I wasn't aware that a build-up of speed was required. Noted for the future.

okay, thanks for the confirmation. I did not add my DEX bonus to the damage roll, just the attack.

In the absence of the ability to "tumble endlessly", I have no choice but to seek cover behind one of the pillars, shielding myself from ranged attacks coming from the north barricade. With my back to the pillar, I reload my crossbow and, with desperation, look again towards the barricade I set on fire 2 rounds prior [please advise]

Yeah, basically once the 3 orcs left you. There was just you, the big old orc and the 5 goblins that where still shackled up from the game of "Chop Brawler".

As you unshackled them they mutter among themselves about who the Melkior character is until one of them asks, "Is it the beast?", to which all of the goblins begin to chatter frantically among themselves. The 9 fingered Goblin then interrupts their squabbling, "Quiet! He plans to take the beast out of this hell-hole, and I don't know about you but I don't like the idea of having this thing here. I haven't had good sleep because of him."
To which all the goblins concur. The 9 fingered Goblin then tells you the details of the plan, "Okay I'll get you to your "Melkore" or whatever, the other 4 of you." Nodding to the goblins, "sneak to all the barracks, and give them the order of a cease fire on the stunty until he gets out of the base, if possible." He looks you dead in the eye, "Understand that, If an orc's around we'll be forced to do our jobs."
The goblins spring into action, and the 9 fingerred goblin calls out "If you find Grabel, tell him we need the key to the cuffs."
You begin to follow the goblin, but they seem to be stuck with the door. "It's jammed I think they wedged an axe under the door handle on the other side."

Sorry about the lack of barricade update, glossed over that accidentally.

You take cover behind the pillar, and look back to see what devastation the tinder twig has done, the small flames sparking up the rug had made two of the goblins drop their spears in order to put out the flames. If a hit: 1d4+1=4
You quickly run around the door and swing furiously with your club, the swing completely missing and instead knocking the door wide open. You crouch and outstretch your arm to stab with the dagger which sinks into the man's gut. Pulling your arm back you find that the rusted dagger has broken, the blade having slipped out of the handle and now imbedding itself into the axe wielding barkeep.
The barkeep let's out a groan before swinging his axe down at you...

14+2=16
vs.
17
Since you are crouched and can't avoid the axe completely you end up taking a fairly decent hit, the axe cuts through a small bit of your cape but doesn't even scratch you due to your chain mail shirt. Schroner seeing the advantage to attack, takes a swing at the man's head.
9+3=12
vs.
10
1d6+4 = 1+4=5
The attack misses the man's head and instead hits him square in the throat. This in turn makes the man choke out on his own adam's apple and passes out and falls to the ground unconscious.
The cult leader seeing one of his men dispatched, let's out a ghastly moan and motions the gangly man with the pick axe to go ahead of him. Then he attempts to stab at Schroner again...
20+0=20
7x2=14
This time the pitchfork goes right through Schroner's gut and through the other end. Blood spraying dripping everywhere and pooling everywhere at her feet, the woman tries flinging herself into a rage, her hands desperately trying to claw at the cultist's throat, before she becomes light headed and falls limp. The pick axe man spares a quick look at the cultist who nods and begins to reel the half-orc in, while she's attached to his pitchfork but having some difficulty due to her size. You go to stop the cultist but the gangly man jumps in the doorway and swings his pick axe at you.
12+0=12
The pick axe misses instead striking into the ground and getting stuck there. Getty flings into a rage and jumps ahead and quickly closes the distance and strikes forward with his epee...
17+3=20
vs. 13
1d4+1=4+1=5
The blade strikes true, piercing through the man's chest, just narrowly missing the heart, but still being quite a deadly strike. The cultist looks to his left, as he continues to hoist Schroner though the door, and moans.

Map attached to give further directions, should have mentioned before that every square here is only 5 feet, since it's small quarters combat.

You fire a bolt from your cover and the bolt misses completely flying overhead and landing in the room this time. The goblin fires a return bolt at you.

7+2-2(from hard cover)=7

You quickly retreat and the bolt hits the column instead of you, and the metal tip actually imbeds itself into the column. You shout your approval of the leathery man's efforts. The being, it's hands shackled together by glowing blue-ish metal cuffs ignores you as a goblin brings down his spear upon him.

The man's hands touch the goblin's face and the goblin turns a ghastly grey and all the life is drained from his body. The other 3 goblins seeing this horrific event immediately abandon their position. 2 of them begin to run for the northern barricade, one carrying his spear the other completely devoid of a weapon...

As they pass you, you may make an attack of opportunity.

The other goblin, jumps over the now blazing barricade and begins running down the hall to the south.

You aren't quite sure of which way the tavern is, and worst of all most of the houses look the same. Standing in the central plaza their is Central routes you could take.
A. A path west which is roughly 120ft. before it leads to an intersection which, of the 3 paths you know the eastern one would took you to this plaza, while the south west path is how you entered the town. However the Northwestern path might hold some answers.
B. A path to the northwest. Completely unexplored, but seems to lead to a foggy graveyard at it's end.
C. A path south which seems to go through the more high end district.
D.A path east which seems to go to the downtown area.

In the plaza itself there is a Fountain in the north east which seems to mark the centre of the town. The fool is a round circular pool with diameter of 60 ft. In the centre their is a stone statue of a woman in a contorted position of some kind stand on one foot.

To your direct south east there is a town hall of some sort. It's a fairly large building with two floors in a village mostly dominated with smaller homes.

We may need to clarify on this.
See their is a very small opening made by the door, and the path between you and the cultist is blocked by the man with the pick axe. The only reason the cultist can attack from beyond the bottle neck of the door is because he has a weapon with reach (his pitchfork).

This leaves you with 3 options.

A) You could use your attack to finish off the man blocking the doorway.
B) You could "overrun" the man at the doorway, this attack basically allows you to "Plow through" your opponent to get to the next one. If you choose to try and over run you opponent he can first gets to make an attack of opportunity, then you must overpower him in a strength check. If all this succeeds you can then pass through the man at the door and attack the cultist with your roll.
C) Drop your position in the initiative, which means you can hold back for a second, let the guy with the pick axe attempt an attack, then let Getty, deal with him, if Getty hits and the man dies you then can use your turn to pass through and use your attack.

Then again their are an endless pile of options you can probably attempt.

You make your way to the town hall and notice, that while the blinds are shut, there is a light inside. There are voices coming from within the building, and the door to the townhall is slightly ajar from old age. You sneak up to the door and press your back against the wall. There appears to be an argument going on with a few of the people inside.
Without opening the door, you take a quick sneak inside and see 7 people. You have a nobleman's daughter with blond hair, up in a bun with a scowl on her face wearing a dress purpler dress with a red corset. There are 2 cultists wearing the similar purple robes that you saw in the battlefield, they're eyes glow red, and their mouths are sewn shut, one of the cultists even has a few stitches over one of his eyes which causes his right eyebrow to sag. There are 2 local farmers, one is a lanky man, clearly drunk, he hobbles around on a crutches and has a peg leg. The other farmer is a large brutish man, who must have ogre blood running in his veins at some point of his lineage, he has a wild beard and a unibrow that is curled into a frown. The other fellow acting as the spokesmen for the farmers, and himself, is a short man, bald at the top with only a friar's haircut around the crown of his head (not an actual crown, obviously) and has a curly moustache that has been trimmed and greased to perfection. His orb-like head rests upon body garbed in mostly white, with a black vest and a small apron. The final person of the room is a young girl who could only be about 9 years old, with brown hair arranged in locks with freckles. The curios feature here is that the girl has a large white gown on that should be worn by a full grown woman at their wedding.

According to the handbook, an AoO is a melee attack so...as the goblin *without the spear* passes me I draw my dagger and stab at him:

Attack: 12 + 1 = 13
Damage: 1d4 = 3

ToDM: please roll for me again if I get one AoO *per goblin* running past me. I think I only get one.

Assuming it is now my turn in combat again, I re-arm my crossbow and fire it at the other fleeing goblin (the one with the spear heading north). I assume he is now past me and I fire into his back:

Attack: 10 + 2 = 12
Damage 1d8 = 7

"Melkior! Wait!", disengaging the goblin(s) I just attacked, I dash through the flames, over the barricade (southward) towards him.

EDIT: edited to add my +1 STR modifier to my dagger stab attack (of opportunity). Forgot it initially, sorry.

You can make as many attacks of opportunity as you wish if creatures pass by you, and as you said it is indeed only something possible with a melee weapon. In this case only the unarmed goblin was close enough to get the attack of opportunity.
Also Melkior has already made it across the barricade, having jumped over it with your distraction.
Last thing, when making melee attacks you add your strength modifier to your damage as well, so it's 1d4+1=3+1=4.

You slit the throat of the unarmed goblin as he passes by you, killing him instantly. The goblin spurts blood and collapses to the ground. You pull out your crossbow and quickly fire at the goblin that is retreating, the bolt just whizzing past Melkior's face. However, it seems all to worth it just to see the bolt go right into the goblin's unarmored back and watch it fall over dead.
You then call out the wizard's name, to which the being raises it's head with a bit of surprise. The being makes strides toward you, the goblin on the northern barricade fires an arrow to which it doesn't even bother dodging, taking the bolt to the chest. Instead he looks at the goblin, unamused, and pulls out the bolt and tosses it back at him. The wound made in his armour pours with the same sand you saw in the jail, the leather of the armour slowly mends itself back together as if the attack never occurred.
Then Melkior looks at you and gives you a simple nod of the head, before joining you behind the column. "Well met, I'll admit I have no idea who you are. You weren't in the original plan to be honest. Either way, I believe you might have something of mine." He says with a sly grin. "Also , may I know your name? and possibly your business in brief?"

You try to listen to the best of your abilities without being caught, however most of it is choppy, due to your location.
"WHAT? This is inexcusable", shouts the Noblewoman, "I'm seriously starting to doubt your commitment to your daughter, or .. .... ...... ......... for that matter. Honestly, the order has been gracious enough to keep this town free from the tyranny of the mindflayers of the south and the ......... ....... .. ... wild, and you dare question their methods a second time?"
"But she's only a child, she .... ... ...... .. last months' ceremony." says the balding man with the black vest.
"All the more reason she should have been next, she had less ties .. .... ..... .... any other."
"...." rasps something so low you can not make it out, a voice you assume belongs to one of the cultists.
"Exactly. The perfect candidate." Say the woman continuing on.
"This village is slowly dying! We can't keep up ..... ....... ....... .... simply do not have enough women eventually. It was the most logical thing to do. If ...... ... .... .... smoothly we could have been set for 7-10 months! A whole year of-"
"...If things ... .... ........ ...", Says the noble woman laughing, "Have you seen the catastrophe outside? You see how good folk died in your foolhardy scheme, .... .. .... .... daughter?"
"..." Further mumbles from a cultist.
"Exactly, and all for naught. Apparently you all forgot some of the finer print of how ... ........ .... ." The Noblewoman continues.
The older man with the crutches then interjects, "There may still be hope, *hick* Some of the gypsy folk went to Dew Spider inn, some of ... .... ... .... locked up in the top floor and are getting them right now once brother M'knar arrives."
"..." A unified mumble from the cultists
"Um... I ...... ...... ... . of them, should be no problem for the 4 of them." Says the old man.
The noblewoman sighs... "Brutis, could you be a .... ... .... .. Doctor McKay? We'll see if he can salvage any of the bodies in that battle field, priority for ..........."
"..." A cultist says quizzically.
"......" The noblewoman say correcting herself, ".......... .. possible sacrifices
By this point the giant man with the unibrow is making his way to the door... You try to make out the last comment made by the man with the black vest, which apparently shocks the noblewoman, but can't make it out.

Rahg'nuul lowers his head with an odd reverence. "I am Rahg'nuul, worshipper of 'The Deep Lich' and yes, I know of what you speak. I have a tome that undoubtedly connects to you in some way and will bear it further, should you wish, until we can free your bonds. The ghosted elves said your freedom was of grave significance and so I set out for you against difficult odds. I was promised rewards for aiding you but arrived too late it seems, and now I am injured. And so now I beg you for *your* aid in escaping this fortress"

[I reveal my blood-soaked shoulder to Melkior, remaining bowed]

"I know of secret passages out of here...and we must move to the throne room to access them, but I am yours to command and would follow your wisdom in the matter"

Remaining bowed, I take a knee. I reload my crossbow and lay it at Melkior's feet, waiting for his response...

I quickly but as silently as I can get away from the door and go for one of the corners in the building and take cover and hide and ready my new crossbow, if only the villigers come out with the little child I hold my fire and wait for them to leave and look for an open window to sneak in, If they spot me I press my fingers against my lip and wave at them for us to talk, if they prove hostile then I fire a bolt at the closest one. If I do not spot an open window then I trail after them in hopes of them heading for the tavern.

move silently 10+3=13
hide 14+3=17
if im not spoted then:
if needed to get on a window (climb 7+3=10)
search 12+2=14

if attacked then
Iniciative 1d20=13 (dont know if I get a bonus)
attack 10+3=13
damage 1d8=5

DM: if I have a bonus due to the circunstanse then please add it
