I'm not even going to bother posting my scores, again. I tried it once more, and came up just about the same as I did on the first page--with 100% Neo-Pagan. Clearly, I am in a rut, though I think it's a pleasant one.

No, I wouldn't insult you. I am basically saying what fable said, we don't get a lot around here.
I'm a protestant Christian myself, but I'm far from mainstream. It's unusual that anyone would get all of the top picks as christian too. Not bad, just unusual.

Hehe I know you weren't insulting me. I'm not sure I understand the whole 'mainstream,' 'liberal,' 'fundamentalist' difference bits between Christians - as far as I'm concerned I'm just a Christian and I don't see why there's differences.

It's basically how they view the bible, I think. The basics are pretty much the same. Fundamentalists take the bible more literally while liberals see the stories more symbolic or metaphorical. To learn more, you can click the different religions in the test.

True. There *are* major differences, even within specific branches. And between them, well...For example, my wife's uncle, a missionary in the Four Square Church (which is Pentacostal), denies on the pulpit and in private conversation that Roman Catholics are Christian, since he claims the trinity concept is a worshipping of idols and Satanic in origin. (Pentacostals are a major branch of Christianity, for those who don't know.) From what I've been given to understand, this is a commonly held view among Pentacostals. I've also heard it expressed from some Protestants, though not the run-of-the-mill sects.

Yeah, some Christians are very adamant on the extreme Monotheism. Islam is too to my understanding. I personally only half believe in the Trinity, but I have always gone to Methodist Churches and they believe in it. My wife is Southern Baptist and most of them believe in it too and they're more conservative than us..

It seems like a lot of fuss over something that is quite inconsequential compared to the Gospel, but maybe that's just something that happens when men try to understand God completely. I believe in the Trinity but I don't see it conflicting with monotheism.

The more complex an series of books declared holy by any religion, the greater the chance that serious schisms will appear. There are major divisions in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Certainly adherents of the first and last have gone to war and attempted to conquer one another, in an effort to get accross their version of religious truth; and I can't say that I doubt the second would have done the same, had they put in a place that permitted rulership, large numbers, vast resources, and freedom from persecution.

Polytheistic cultures typically haven't displayed this inability to get along based on religious texts, but then they've managed to find plenty of other reasons for going to war--just like the rest of humanity.
