They got rid of the rule, last time I checked but for a few days Rally driving was *gasp* interesting.
I wish they did. It really brought new cultures into NASCAR, and brought Hideo Fukuyama into the NASCAR series. Hideo makes a few selected races each year, and his improvement as a driver has been seen.
But the problem is that the NASCAR season is already packed with very little time off...very little. With a 36 race schedule (plus 2 all-star races), week after week, with only 4 off weeks the entire season (once the season gets started), there is no time to travel, and if they did go to Japan, it would take that free time away. NASCAR is already hard-pressed on decreasing the schedule as it is, but no one wants to give up their 2nd race at certain tracks (see: Rockingham, Loudon, Michigan, Martinsville, and Darlington). When they did go to Japan was in January, and this is the time that many racers are still recouperating from the previous season, or looking forward to the next.
Why CART, F-1, and IRL go to different countries for races is that they actually have the time to go to the different tracks in different countries. They dont have as compact a schedule as NASCAR.
The other main problem is cost. There are some teams that are not as rich as counterparts, and cannot truly afford to ship all there stuff on top of the prices of maintaining a full-time schedule. Everything has a price, and shipping it, just ups the ante. Big corporations like Roger Penske, Rick Hendrick, and Jack Roush can make it there, no problem, obviously. But small operations like Beth-Anne Morganthal, Hermie Sadler, and Jim Smith teams are already soaking up a lot of money and dont need any more catalysts to become bankrupt.
So those are the major problems, and I wish NASCAR would go to other countries, but it seems hard as it is. Maybe trips to Mexico are possible in the future, though...

I cant believe it... the ducks. It was such a confusing game to watch. I hate the ducks well cause they suck and thier Anihiem. We all know the Kings rock and the ducks dont... but then again Detroit sucks harder than the Disney boys.
I wish both could have lost but I think I find myself saying ... god fear it...
"go ducks"?
No. No no no Never.

Heh...points taken, and while I may not agree 100% with everything there,

I am also taken back by this. And find it hard to believe the phrase could be "Go Ducks." And with the Bruins gone, I guess thats the only thing for me to do. Go Ducks...or maybe Blues

Well I hate to say it....
@Aegis I told you so!

EDM leads series 2-1 and then they lose out. Sorry man. Truth hurts.
MIN stayin' alive. They better enjoy it while they can. Because off they will go soon
Congrats to TB winning their first series. I watched the final couple overtimes of that one. Well played game on both sides. I may be underestimating the bolts
What did I say? STL takes VAN to game 7 when VAN will win.

Sort of the opposite way I thought it would happen tho...I thought VAN would be faster out of the gates.
Good series...PHI vs TOR has some of the best hockey of the entire season.
F-1 News:
Schumacher finally wins in an emotional victory at San Marino. He dominated flag to flag, with only a few charges from his brother at the beginning and Barrichelo towards the last pit stop. Barrichelo had a slow pit stop and relegated him to 4th, and he charged up to third. Raikkonen showed his consistency and got to the podium in 2nd. It was a pretty mild race and wasnt much for the drama or the thrills as the other 3 races have had, but a good victory for Schumy.
As far as Tam's fav driver, Webber, he had a great Qualifying day, a great practice day, but come race day, he had a miserable day right from the start. After qualifying in 4th, I believe, he had among the slowest starts of all season, right next to Villineuve's no-start in Brazil. He plummeted to 11th by the first turn. And if that wasnt bad enough, his engine expired 4/5 into the race. Tough day for the Aussie.

Damn both Webber and Villenueve out...
At least a Schumacher boy won the race, an emotional win dedicated to their late mother. Possibly the only time I'll ever cheer for a Ferrari win.

Toronto just beat Philly, 2-1.
It went to double overtime, the 3rd time thats happened (one of the games went to triple overtime after, too) in this series. The first overtime period was the best bloody hockey, for both teams, I've seen in a long time.
Game 7 tomorrow.
Go Leafs Go!

And Minnesota beat Colorado 3-2 in OT to force game 7 as well

I'm torn between who to watch tonight. TO vs. Philly. Van vs. StL. and Col vs. Min. TO for sure, and probably the vancouver game after.
Go Canada!

Yeah, TOR/PHI will be playing 3 hours before the other two games....But the way theyve been playing, I wouldnt be surprised if that went to OT aswell. I would watch the VAN/STL game. VAN should win that one, and if you like Canadian teams, that is the one to watch. COL/MIN is gonna be a killoff...I still think COL will rule

Heh...not bad last night. I am really happy about the MIN winning and the other 2 games I was pretty much indifferent. TOR just sort of lost their cool in the 2nd period and it was all downhill. I think every team that advanced is a well deserving team to advance.
Well lets see....
DAL over ANA in 6 (I agree)
VAN over MIN in 5 (Im still not a believer...Im a stubborn skeptic

)
OTT over PHI in 7 (OTT is well rested and a decent team. Should be a good series)
NJ over TB in 5 (TB had their glory days, and WAS just flat out choked)
