Well..... I won't be able to do anything about the actual building, but you might find parking a little more difficult.... :p

Actually, my company was recently tearing up one of the streets in that area for a gas line project, and we found many prehistoric houses and human remains there. That area was known to be a very significant site (at the base of the hill), but was little studied due to the early construction of the building. It was thought to be largely destroyed, but now it seems that much of the site is still preserved under the parking lots and roadways.

@Gwally:..That is great that the site has been preserved by the blacktops,

but how will it be studied if it is under areas which have already been built over :(

This still doesn't change the fact that Bunny misses you. And that "Shield of Reflection" won't do you any good if a crack in the earth opens beneath your feet, swallowing you whole and plunging you into the sea of molten lava beneath the earth's crust. :D

You've hurt Bunny's feelings.

I've never met a concrete saw and a backhoe I didn't like! But I will leave T'lainya's car carefully in place on its own little pedestal of pavement, as I did test trenches and excavation units all around! :D

Heh. That's no evil grin. That just comes from knowing you have heat vision whenever you want.... ;)

@Scayde: I'm glad you were only pretending - you had me worried there for a minute! :D

I'm taking my leave of SYM as well. It's not the same place I came to know after coming here from the gaming forums. Every person has their limits, I suppose, and I have run out of steam when it comes to bravado and seeing the positive. Good luck to everyone.

I always wonder why people "leave" per se, instead of simply checking back ever once in a while like I do  - although I check a couple of times a day I rarely post much in SYM.

It is not like people are married to the/a forum and needs to get a divorce. It is not all or nothing - this forum or another forum.

Check the topics at times, if finding something interesting then post - if not; simply don't post.

Oh man, you're leaving too? :(

Well, that's one less person I could talk to at times.

By the way, how's it been down where you are, with the threat of a hurricane at TX's (if I'm correct) southern coast? Has it affected the weather in your area any bit?

Nothing is ever carved in stone ;)

*gets out maps and starts planning a much needed vacation*

I have no intention of leaving SYM, this is my on-line home.

@Chan: LOL..I think all that is needed here is a trip somewhere realy fun , like oh, I don't know, maybe a nude beach in the caribean? Or a road trip to Monahans for some 4-wheeling fun?......All we need is a change of scenery, a good time, are some great stories to share. That shouldn't be too hard to arange ;)

*whisper to SYM*, I'll work on him ;)

I'm... also fading outta here. Again. Yes, yes, I know. I've left many times, but like a smoker trying to kick the habit, I kept coming back.

But it's just like Chanak said. This place just isn't the same... Don't really know why the big change, but it just feels less friendly and open.

And to be honest, I hate political threads. I can watch t.v. for that stuff. Online is my way to escape it, and that's why I'm always online.

I mean, I am still here... Like, once or twice a week, and rarely find anything worth posting in. But, ya know...
