Bah, I don't like the Olympics.
Not soccer or any other sport in it, I find it rather silly. :D

I find the olympics a good way to wind down after a summer of European championship, Wimpeldon (not that interested in Tennis, but hey - sports is sport :D ) and Tour De Dope .. ehh - Tour De France. :D
Although I'm not terrible interested in athlethic disciplins (running, jumping, skipping, throwing .... etc  ), I'll still watch some, just to kick the withdrawel sympotons. :D

The Olympic football I think, is most interesting because you can spot young talents. So I'm going to watch some games, although I won't follow it as closely as the World Cup if I'm alive and kicking in 2 years!

There is no better way to relax after a period of hard work than hiking in the mountains, playing D2 or similar mindless games and watching sports. I am trying to follow the Tour le Dope now, but unfortunately I will miss the mountain stages and also the first week of the Olympics due to a holiday and a congress in China. Instead, I will be lying on my back in a slow river boat, watching this:

Giving up the moutain stages of Tour De Dope for *that* - sheez, blasphemic. :D

(by the way ... I wonder what is called "EPO" in Denmark, is called in english. I have no dictonary that covers it. - I usually call it Tour De Epo instead, as it is what all the rides get busted for :D )

@Xan: I know, but to my defence I can say that it's not only that...it's actually the World Congress of Psychology in Beijing as well...and I have to be there to present some stuff, it's not my fault... :(

EPO is called EPO in English too, in all languages I guess since it is an acronym for a hormone, erythropoietin, and such terms are usually international.

Yeah - I know (somewhat :D ) what EPO is and how it works and that it is an acronym. However - my (limited :o ) searching hadn't revealed any information where I could conclude it was named EPO in english as well :)

I certainly hope your familiarity with is limited :D

Of course, the only reason to go to a World congress is to exchange flaunting of knowledge :D and sometimes it's nice when they are situated at interesting locations too...
