@Mah,
do you *really* think it's wise to tempt these particular patrons with offerings from "The Randy Ranger Monthly." :speech:

Oh, and since I've been a very negligent hostess... * brings out trays of drinks and food on the house* :D

* The rancid ragged cleric accepts his drink with ill mannered grace. Looks over the Kenders shoulder at the graphic novel. *

Hmmm, it appears young ranger that we have much in common.

Now kender me lad, calm down and tell me more of this mighty mage. I'm interested but there appears to be something fishy about him.

Forgive my current aroma, I have taken a vow of abstainence, my sect is currently focusing on vile cleaning products and evil soaps. Tempt me not! - Curdis !

Thanks DW, you sure know how to make someone feel at home. :)

@Mah
I know that's "educational" material (mutters, "I sure learned something about flexibility!") but my new Kender friend, I too would be interested in hearing about this mage acquaintance of yours. If you could put it away for a bit and fill my rancid ragged friend and I in, we would be most grateful.

Cheers Philos :)
I've just been so busy lately, I hadn't had time to post all that much, and I have an enormous stack of PMs and emails to catch up on, amongst other things that require my attention.
So, I've been pretty absent... :o

Ah well, people seem to know where the drinks are :D
But, *just to be sure, hauls out a few crates of Scotch, Bourbon, Wine and Beer*

@Kipi,

Philos, it appears that our plans are to be delayed pending acquisition of a mage. As to your talk of sea men, any who interfere with my person will soon be fish food. Although our kender friend, *smirk* looks like he might be partial to that kind of treatment. So while we wait may I suggest drinks all round? Your shout obviously.- Curdis !

Hey, landlubbers. :p

Just follow the fish-smell trail, it will lead you to the Master Fish-Slapper. Arudrin is this elven mage at the Legendary Frog's ;) realm of Dungeon Crawl Inc.

Good luck on your search.

We do indeed know (especially Kipi :D ), but we certainly appreciate your hospitality none the less. Methinks there'll be some massive headaches in the morn. Cheers to our hostess.

@Curdis
Yes, drinks all around, hopefully DW has a good a supply of aspirin (and tabasco sauce). OBTW, skip the fish sauce bath. That will attract more gulls.

@Mah

Now see? I was planning on getting shot-glass sized Easter eggs and filling them with vodka and rum and hiding them throughout the area for an Easter egg hunt. But I forewent it because I didn't think anyone'd be up for it, but apparently I would have had two eager volunteers.

Man, if grandma stashed booze filled easter eggs all over on the holiday instead of candy filled ones...I would be the worlds best easter egg hunter. Hands down!

@Mah, A fish sauce bath!?

Excellent idea! DW a bath full of fish sauce and tabasco, on Philos' account if you will!

@Philos, You need to be open to new experiences and as you said drinks all round... I could drink it. Also you might as well get used to taking orders if you are to be a member of the party. The gulls will just be welcome target practice.

If you want drinking related games that don't need to wait till Easter, may I introduce the gentle sport of 'vegie' bowls.

It is similar to lawn bowls except each player may select (for each end) four fruit or vegetable of their choice. The only exception being white onions the noble white onion is used as the 'jack'. The white onion is then 'bowled' to some location around the venue and players take it in turns to attempt to have the closest vegie (or part there of) to the 'jack'. The winner then gets to 'bowl' the jack to start the next end. Your bowls may be replaced only if the other players agree, or at some predetermined time. With either agreement or the end of a 'rubber' your selection of 'bowls' may be altered.

I feel it best to allow newcommers to explore the subtleties of 'bowl' selection and the positioning of the 'jack' for themselves.

When an opponent makes a particularily spectacular, good or otherwise entertaining 'bowl' it is etiquette to remark 'shot', or 'fruit' (The call of 'fruit' serving to comemerate both 'bowls' of the vegetable or indeed fruit varieties)

How does this relate to drinking? Well obviously during such a tense clash between veritable titans of the sport, there are vast empires at stake and a calming tipple enables the participants to soothe their otherwise taut nerves. It also assists in reducing the inhibiting effects of such judgement calls as whether or not to throw the 'jack' through the open window of the host's living room and continue a few ends in an indoor setting. Not only does this make for exciting game play it opens avenues of tactical strategy when the venue is decided for the next round... - Curdis !
