Thank's Hill. I take it you are dealing with the moron with the chain letters. I don't need to report the X-men one cos you got the other one, right?

There's chain letters? Lucky me for avoiding them.
Japamation! Yeah, that's a good name for those...

It's a particular style of drawing that make it a separate genre, is it? Or is there something else special about it? I found this wallpaper site which has a lot of pictures. Is this where they come from?

I have reported both, and a third one last night, and they are illegal pyramid schemes, so please ignore them.
'I' can not do much more than that, but wait for a super mod to show up and blow him away. Still, if you see another post, just report it immediately. Does not matter if someone else got it, just report it.
Yep, anime is basically a unique style of drawing in modern days that has lead to a booming type of entertainment for younger children, and some older ones as well.

Whoa.
Didn't realize that there were that many Japamation shows!
I HATE chain letters. Well.. who doesn't?

It's more of a drawing style than a specific genre. It could probably be applied to many different genres.
And that website has some good examples of that particular style.

Er....the english japanese animations? Do you mean with text/dialogue in english, or what?

by Ravager
Yeah, the style originates in Japan, so there are lots of Japanese animators writing their stories in Japanese and other languages.

In fact, a lot of anime for different markets are only made their, so whereas you guys may be getting one type of English translated Japanese imaged and made anime, we over here may get a totally different kind.

I think I knew someone who was getting Dragonball Z from the US, before it was released here, so some of it must be reaching there first.
Dragonball is also anime.
Anyway, should I think of another topic or is anyone going to help on this?

go for it, Ravager. I don't know enough about anime to discuss it. I don't know where you see such things - is it on TV?

Heh. I don't know anything about anime either. I know a couple of the program titles, but that's about it.
I know my avatar is related to anime but I wasn't the one who found it in the first place.
The last anime program I used to watch was probably that Moomin thing years back.

As far as I know, it is anime. But it was around before all these Pokemon style things.
It's the style of drawing characters and such-like.

Probably grew up with audience and is now utterly perverted.
Oops, wrong smiley. Whatever will you think of me?
