I agree, it was ok... I liked the first one more and it does suffer from the 'sequel' affliction, meaning the story isn't as robust, having been replaced with lots more special-effects, sword fights, explosions and ancient sea monsters. I was still entertained, however and not regretting the 10 dollar ticket price (though that may have had to do more with Keira Knightley than anything).

hmmm...yeah, i have not heard many favorable things about it...except for the effects and stuff...but, i think i still wanna check it out....i think...

I have heard mixed opinions of Pirates, too. I will go see it eventually. Didn't get to go last weekend b/c of sick cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just rented POTC1 tonight, so I'll see how that is, then maybe see POTC2 (Dead Man's Chest) at the cinema.

I've been hearing some mixed opinions on the new Pirates movie, too.
