yeah, well, the head-people at my school are wierd. There's stuff that we aren't allowed to wear because it is "gang related". Yet we don't have any gangs at our school. I mean, my school is a prep school, not a gang school.

We don't hug that much. It's a sign of weakness when done too often.
That's not true!
![Eek!](./images/smilies/)
I had three Dutch friends and they had no problem with hugging at all
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
I think it depends more on the person than on the culture, though (in Europe or America I mean).
@Luis: CM, of course! He was born to be hugged!
![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/)
Why don't you use a picture of yourself as an avatar? That'd be easy to recognize
@Locke: whoa, that's waaay to much of work! What do you do?
I have a lot of guy friends, but they would all probably be embaressed if I hugged them. And one or two of them have girlfriends already, so it wouldn't be appropriete really for me to hug them.
But dude, at my school, we would get in trouble for doing that in school. There is a school rule against public display of affection- which includes hugging or holding hands. It's wierd, because I see people do exactly that, and do not get into trouble, yet this one time, a friend of mine was walking along with her bf, and he was about to fall. She grabbed his hand to keep him from falling, and at that moment, a teacher walked by, and gave them detention for it. Strange, huh?
Okay, that's odd even for me... I think I'm gonna look where arno_v's at and give 'im a hug or something...

All of the schools I went to had a no touching policy as well. They figured as long as no one was allowed to kiss, hug, grab, hit, etc., all of the problems that could pop up from that would be on the students and not the staff for allowing such behavior. If a girl got harrassed, everyone knew they weren't supposed to be touching in the first place. If someone got hugged or kissed and didn't like it, well you weren't supposed to. If someone saw it and was upset by it, again, they weren't supposed to. Most teachers would let it slide if a couple were holding hands, or hugging in the morning or at the end of school though so long as it wasn't in anyones way or more than just a simply display of affection.
It cut down on trouble with the student body to be a little leniant that way rather than have everyone hiding to do that. If they just wanted a little hug and had to go hide, chances are it would lead to more than just a little hug since they were already breaking a rule and hiding.

You know, certain rules only exist for the happiness of a few, extremely pious group. I say those rules are intended to be broken. Well, in the US you can sue a child for sexual harassment, but I guess this is only a backdraw of "I'm an American and I have rights". I used to go to a catholic school. With uniform. I'd even have to use the shoe they wanted. BUT, the nuns used to be just leninent with the son president of the Fathers-Teacher association, and also with those who used to send more incentives to the fund-gathering party the school had every july. The nuns were also lenient, in their case of course, about girls, about smoking in front of school, while we (lets say the peasant) used to have our parents called for walking hand to hand with a girl.
And you're right, completely. Sometimes the lenience avoids undesired things, such as hidden relationships, fear and repression, not prevention.
Too bad I only started making a mess there on my last year...

I know! What is the world COMING to? *shudder* - I think there MAY have been the vestiges of an INTELLIGENT COMMENT in there somewhere! The horror, the horror.

Drunks can be smart too! Just because I decide to get twisted and act like a fool far too often doesn't mean I'm not capable of intelligent thought or discussion.
Anyways, I have half a liter of Southern Comfort to finish. I'll be leaving deep thoughts behind in my empty bottle. Back to the drinking!
P.S. has anyone done desk chair races down the road going down hill before?

heh, no, we don't. But I swear, the head-people at my schol are paranoid or something. But next year, I'll be in nineth grade, so I'll ne at a different school entirely.

I have no idea myself, but methinks, TM is pretending to join the COMM and thats about all thats gone on since I dissapeared 2 days ago with my booze.
This shouldn't be Heathen's, I was counting on good entertainment in my moments of drunkeness.

What's going on? Nothing at all! It's just the Citadel, where we, Heathens reside and hold our sleeping and drinking rituals.
As for the days counting, you will see when the big day comes
