What is febreeze?  And why would I keep it?
It involves Phreddie and his need to drink poisionous cleaning agents. Leave him be. :D

Congratulations to Lestat on your 1000th post... :D
As for febreeze, it is, as Hill said, a cleaning agent (poisonous if ingested) that, when sprayed on materials such as furniture, blankets or skin it makes them smell better and removes any offensive odors that were being emitted by said object. In fact...

*sprays lestat with febreeze*

Much better ;) .

I suddenly understand why Phreddie starts panting when I ask him to clean the floor.

Thanks for the congrats. ;)

Well naturally you don't do your own cleaning but they have to keep the febreeze in a safe place because phreddie will drink it otherwise and kill himself... You're doing it for phreddie's own good, what a friend you are :D .

Or maybe your reputation for performing good deeds follows you around everywhere, no matter how much you attempt to shed it :D
This is proof that being in the boy scouts as a child actually does untold and unimaginable harm :p

Must be those hiking trips... :p

I think I missed out on that part of the Scouts experience but then I never had any real interest in what they do.

Regarding the Scouts, I'm just going by hearsay.
Yes I know..tsk tsk.. how very unscientific of me :p ;)

My closest knowledge involves The Brownies, which my mother felt the need to enrol me in as a child. Likely in an attempt to curb my distinct 'tomboyish streak'
But, that didn't last very long.... "Brown Owl" was harassing me over some kind of sewing badge or something I was supposed to earn...
I told her in no uncertain terms just where to put her badge... and was subsequently expelled.
Oh damn! I remember being thoroughly devastated by that :D

I still know the "Evening Song" by heart (in Flemish)

O Heer, d'avond is neergekomen,
de zonne zonk, het duister klom.
De winden doorruisen de bomen
en verre sterren staan alom...
Wij knielen neer om U te zingen
in 't slapend woud ons avondlied.
Wij danken U voor wat we ontvingen,
Wij vragen, Heer, verlaat ons niet !

Scouts en gidsen, knielen wij neder,
door de stilte weerklinkt onze beê
Luist'rend fluist'ren kruinen mee
en sterren staren teder.
Geef ons Heer, zegen en rust en vreê !

Bad translation (but I have to according to the forum rules so don't shoot me)
Oh Lord, evening has come down
the sun has sunk, and darkness climbed
winds are whistling through the trees
and far stars are everywhere
We kneel down to sing for you
in the sleeping forest (wood) our evening song
we thank you for what we received
We ask Lord do not abandon us

Scouts and guides, let's kneel down
through the silence sounds our prayer (entreaty)
listening treetops whisper with us
and stars stare tenderly
Give us Lord, blessing and rest and peace.

:D And on those words I bid you goodnight ;)

Goodnight Lestat! :)

@DW, wow, you really were the rebellious type...
I think my leaving the Scouts was much less spectacular. :p
