It's just I have been mentioning people for about two weeks, all of whom are equally good, and all I have met is blank stares. Why is Richard Thompson different?

And if I remember well he has/had a bit of a cultstatus.

I don't remember the album's name... we're speaking vinyl time, like over 15 years ago! Second half of the eighties I'd imagine.

Well I must not have been around when these questions were being asked because there are very few music artists I havent at least heard of. I mean that without any ego whatsoever because all I do with my time (not counting hanging out with friends) is read and listen to music; it's hard to have any pride in my sloth.

Anyway he was on top of his form tonight. Just him and Danny Thomson, but they seemed happier and more energetic than the last couple of times I've seen him. And he played stuff from every part of his career, right far as back as Fairport. It was wonderful

@ Tony. I don't actually know what you mean. Richard Thompson started out in a band called Fairport Convention. That's what I meant
