Okay, the real reason:
The broadband did one of those spontaneous breakdowns it's so fond of. I left the computer for a few minutes when it was working, returned and it had stopped.
It stayed that way for the rest of the night. *sigh* Ah well, I had a chance to adapt my CV, continue with coursework and listen to some music at the same time, so it wasn't a complete loss. *nods*

Of course, now there is no-one around. *sigh* Back to coursework then...

*walks in, turns on spam machines, starts fire in the mens toilet on the third floor detention block*

Can't get that to work Ravager. I clicked the link to down load the flash player. Saved it to disc ( only option I had) then found the install thing and did that. But the only icon is in a folder and it just installs it again and again and won't let me open your thing. Help. please
