@all: My last post probably takes place that night or the following morning, just so you know. Feel free to incorporate it into the rest of the story. It's getting boring, writing without interaction with the rest of you. Just don't assume how Gilthanas would respond, because I haven't revealed everything that's going on with him yet.
And BTW, let's get this story moving again, Aegis or no Aegis. I'll help as much as I can, as soon as Gilthanas gets back into the main story again.

I apologize for being absent from my duties for so long (longest time away ever for me) but I have been having some difficulties IRL, and been unable to progress the story further. I will have something posted by the end of the weekend though.

@Arcane: Sorry for holding things up. I've had relatives over the past couple of days. I'll get something up today.

Hey, all! I've been gone, but it's cuz my wife and I have just had a new addition to our family, a daughter. She's our second child and she is wonderful. She has taken up much of my time, as has the company that seems to follow, but things are settling down a bit in my life. I'll see if I can't get an addition to the story in the next few days. I just thought I owed an explanation for my absence.

Congratulations, and best wishes! Like Aegis said, take your time. With Neverwinter Nights shipping in a week, I expect the rest of us will soon be otherwise occupied as well.

LOL! Thanks, all. Her name is Tessa Eve, and she was 6lbs 1oz (I don't know what that is in metric for all you euros. but I wish I did). She's sooooo tiny, but she's getting bigger by the minute, or so it would seem. She's great, but she does seem to keep me up at nights.

I don't have any pics on the net, yet, but I'll tell you all when I do.
@Aegis- hopefully in Argyle we'll be able to buy you off if you ever go up against the BotB. If not..., I guess we'll just have to duke it out and make sure to hire you next time.
Of course, with NWN in the stores, I now have to buy a whole new system.

I guess that's a good thing, but it sure hurts the pocketbook. *Rail wanders off weighing the advantages of going into debt to get the system he wants over just settling for the system he can afford*

@Rail: I know what you mean. I was up on Bioware's site recently and I found out that they don't support Voodoo cards. I have a Voodoo 5, lucky me.

So I'm going to cross my fingers and just hope the game runs.

dunno. I was sad to see it go, but RL came in and kicked me in the teeth! (well, summer, work, new child, all that) Wouldn't mind seeing it come back one bit, though. Was quite fun.

Ok where is everyone, before we post?
I'm in the library, reading up about his kind, he might want to find out about his sword.

Quick question (two, actually):
Are you accepting new players, and if so what are the guidelines for character creation? Play-by-post is as close to PnP as I can get given the area where I live, so I'd be interested in playing.

You know, I'm starting to miss our roleplays too. I'm actually in a PnP group now, but it just isn't the same. It's hard to play someone like Gilthanas without time to consider what you want to say, and how to say it (or not say it

).
Our options:
1) Continue Northern Shadows
2) Start a new roleplay
3) Let roleplaying on gamebanshee dwindle to a thing of the past (from what I've seen, even the other roleplays seem to have lost their members)
I'm not even discussing the latter.
Let's consider 1 first. The problem with this one is that Aegis seems to have lost interest, and I for one haven't even seen him around the board lately. Since he was the man with the plan, that creates a problem, one I'm not too eager to solve myself by DM'ing a plot someone else started. If someone else wants to give a shot, though, then I'd be in.
Now let's consider 2. Starting a new game would certainly be a project, for the DM at least. I have to assert now that being a DM is a lot of work, and I'm sure Aegis would agree. If someone wants to try being a DM, and he/she seems capable, I'll be the first to join.
However...if it comes down to it, I'd be willing to try DM'ing again. Problem is, I have a lot less time than I used to, being in college now and all. I'm really not sure how it'd work out. DM or not, I don't think I'll be able to post everyday. I definitely don't have time to write 4-5 hour long posts on a regular basis, as I've been known to do in the past. As a result, if I DM the story's pretty much guaranteed to move a little slow. But if the rest of you are willing to put up with this, then I'd try my best to set aside as much time as possible.
So, what do you guys say?
