Your 'desktop' looks strikingly familiar to mine giles, heh, except for the torchlight.

Anyway, thanks BS for revealing the secret button of my keyboard, Print Screen! I actually had to look twice at the keyboard to realize it was there. That pretty much leaves only one key I'm still clueless about, the Pause_Break one.

Anyway, nice to have learned this, my desktop is:
That's an old leftover from the Dos (and before) time.
It would pause/break and aplication :D

LoL

It reminds me of this sketch on the David Letteman Show. It ws hilarious.

David read 'fanmail' out loud:"Dear david, what does the scroll lock button on my keyboard do?"

Flashback:
David sits at home behind his pc. He looks at his keyboard and knotices the scroll lock button. He presses it... nothing happends.
Presses it again... still nothing
He repetedly presses hit (tap tap tap tap etc)

The camera moves down to his neighbour. The man sits up strait in his chair, looks around his room wondering why the lights keep swiching on and off. :D

So, now you know what the scroll lock button does, it swiches the lights of your neibour on and off. :D
I thought it was funny. :o

Nippy, that's the most fascinating desktop I've ever seen :D

Wanted to post mine, but the file size was too large. How did you manage to shrink it under 2 MB?

You have to use some photoediting software, like photoshop, to resize the image or lessen the quality in it. For a free alrternative to photoshop google for "gimp"

Nah, it simple.

Just make a screenshot in paint. Make it a bit smaller (control+a and drag it small, then unselect and drag the white background to the smae size as the picture.)
.. then store it as a JPG, not a BMP.

I like having a desktop that makes me laugh

I also like people that aren't shy in telling you what they like.

One more thing, this might scare kids.

SDWillie, that man's disgusting  makes me sick :(

This time it says the limit is 100k. I give up :) (It's not that interesting, anyway, since it's my working computer's desktop I wanted to post.)

Maybe I can describe it:

Background: paradise.jpg
Icons: MyComp, MyNetwork, RecBin, Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Autocad2002, Auotcad2004
Taskbar: WinCMD, GameBanshee

That's all :)

At home:

Background: a nice pic of BMW Z4
Icons: NWN, IWD, PhotoShop, AutoRoute, RecBin, MyComp, CameraWizard, PhoneSync (yeah, I'm missing the BG icons, too :) They don't have to wait long to reappear again)
Taskbar: NWN, TaskManager (Neccessary sometimes, when playing NWN :) )

Huh... I have prt sc, but I dunno how to access it :( . I use a laptop, so there is a 3rd alternate key combo to press to use prt sc, i.e. shift 2 gives @... Dunno what gives prt sc)
Anyway, I usually use comics or anime, and change it once in a while
(i.e. this is a penny-arcade comic I'm using ATM)

I head up IT here, so i have everybody using Yahoo messenger to send messages as we are being cheap and using yahoo business services. Thus i get away with msn, yahoo and anything else i need. They are nosy in the sense that if i am laughing the female officer always comes in and asks why i am laughing. Plus the beauty of alt tab :D

Oh yeah, how nice it is to work in the IT trade... :) Officially we're not allowed to use the internet during work... I know a few sipmle tricks myself (that's how I'm visiting this page now :) ), but couldn't find out how to overcome this restriction (I mean that we cannot use msn and icq and stuff like that). Any idea? :)

Antonio, nice to SEE you ;) What do you do?
