I don't know if anyone ever broached the hero save issue but I do have a certain idea as to how to improve the hero save feature. It could be designed in a way like if you enter the quest area, you will be given that option only (the same as Fable's). But, instead of dying and ending up at the last world save with all the equipment you gather while undergoing that failed quest, you will get the chance to load from the last hero save within the confines of the quest area (and the items you collect after this hero save will not be there).

Just think of it like a quick save feature implemented in most games. Sometimes I'm bad at explaining something so forgive me if my above statements are hard to follow.

About the jumping idea mentioned here a lot of times, I would like to expand on this idea a little bit. When you come across a small ledge, walking forward will make the main character climb over it. As for ledges that are slightly unreachable, he/she should jump and grab on the ledge. Afterwards, the main character will lift himself up that ledge.

These ideas are from the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. ;)

Then you should try Warrior within and Two thrones to... POP games are Awsome... to bad the trilogy ended here...
But do you want to create fable or an action adventure game... ill challenge you to climb a ledge with a bright plate suite on.... Including the holy warrior helmet.....Good luck on it :p
Lets have a game that makes sense to ;)

As I have read that fable 2 is to take place 500 years later i am very afraid of the removal of some weapons. I HOPE TO AVO that there will still be swords such as the long sword and greatsword. And they wont get rid of the original weapons at all. An idea for Fable 2 would be to bring back some of the legendary weapons. Keep the SOA and Others. I also think the ultimate power (sword or etc.) in all of the land should be the plainest looking thing in the world (like in the Dark Sword Trilogys). And your hair should grow as you the days go by. You should be able to tan your self and color your hair. I love the original. But SO much more could be done to make it better. Who knows, it could be way more than any of us expect!

I do agree with you about the next game keeping the weapon types from Fable: The Lost Chapters but there will be others that they (Lionhead) will have to remove in order to fit into the setting for Fable 2. I highly suspect that it will be the bows and crossbows since guns will be introduced into the game (after all, it will be strange to see bows and crossbows in a sequel set 500 years after the events of Fable: The Lost Chapters).

As for legendary weapons, I would prefer to see new ones rather than previous legendary weapons in Fable 2 but, if some of them have certain purposes like tying up the story between Fable: The Lost Chapters and it's sequel, Fable 2, then, I wouldn't mind if they make a comeback (only some of them, though).

I agree. Most would want the game to last longer, and I agree with this one way or the other. As for the rest of the features mentioned in quite a few articles from gaming sites, I would only hope that Lionhead knows what to implement into the game in order to give players a satisfying playing experience. :)

EDIT: Almost forgot to comment on this post.

I also played Warrior Within and The Two Thrones before. ;) I prefer the Two Thrones more than Warrior Within, in my opinion. Anyway, back on topic. Well, I was thinking more of the hero stepping up when a 1 foot tall ledge is in his/her way but as for jumping, I prefer that having the ability to jump because, in my opinion, it would be cool to jump in a real-time RPG like Fable (not up till the point of being able to do somersaults and jumping tricks). As for the height of the jump, it should be as high as any character from FPSes and action games rather than Mario. :D

How about new stats? Personally I would like a stat where you could make your own pie/beer/food. does anyone think that would be good, or am I all alone in thinking this?

The ability to craft items, is it? That is a good idea. To add to that idea, I would like the ability to craft and customise your own weapons for Fable 2, as what someone here mentioned previously. :)

the crafting part makes sense to me... but when you are able to make your own weapons or Armor... what is the use of searching for it in silver chests... and if you dont need the chests, you dont need to keys... witch only 8 houres of FAIR PLAYING time is spend on looking for.
Making yourown consumption sounds nice to me... I would add to that that you may B able to kill wild anymals to create it from

What about the idea of a talking treasure chest (any one of them)? Since the demon doors were really good in Fable: The Lost Chapters, why not have a similar version for treasure chests? Might be cool too. ;)

Sex is always nice

I hope you can choose the sex you are it would be a great aspect. I hope we can change our appearnce allot more like the shape of your nose & height etc.
ALso if you actually grew facial hair as time went on & people age the same as you because ive noticed on fable 1 you could be about 55 when you fight jack & you sister is supposed to be older then you but she looks incredibly younger.

I also what personalised weapon & armour.

I agree here. To add to that idea, why not have main quests take place in certain part of the timeline like for example, the first few quests can be in the 1st year and when you finish those bunch of main quests (side quests have no influence on the timeline), you will automatically go to another year and face another bunch of quests? This will make aging more logical not only on the main character but also the main casts of characters and the populace as well. :)

Party

Well as i said in a previous thread, how about being able to form parties. These parties would only allow you to control your character and not the other characters in the game. And the other characters are only there for help if you needed it or wanted it. You wouldn't be able to customize those other characters in any way.

I thought this would be an awsome feature, tell me what you think of it.

That is a good idea. Quite useful when dealing with crowds. But I wonder whether you will need to pay a sum for the party (just like how you have to pay the mercenary a certain amount of money for every in-game hour or something) or is this party voluntary?

I might have an idea here. Why not introduce some combo bar known in quite a few games like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic as an example and when that bar reaches the limit, you will be able to unleash a flurry of powerful attacks or combos to kill enemies? Speaking of that idea, did that mechanic come from the Dynasty Warrior series (PS2)?
