Yo guys (and gal ). I'm meant to be in a lecture in a little over half an hour, and it takes a little over half an hour to get there...

Anyone got any decent excuses? I think I've worn out the whole ill thing

LOL..Well, a pipe broke in the kitchen always worked for me..

Test your dial tone (assuming you have a mobile) and pretend that your parents have called you due to an emergency. This can only be used once though, so use it wisely

These are very decent excuses, actually...would be even better if I wasn't in a catered hall without ensuite kitchens... It's a good one though - I'll have to write these down just in case Beldin goes mad too and deletes the tavern

EDIT - @Tam - yeah, most of the best excuses are one-timers...for example, the bus breaking down and the automatic doors shutting closed and trapping the occupants (Yeah, I used it once, and it worked) is even more unlikely to happen twice

LOL..Well, in that case..have a friend call the counselors office and have you paged for an "emergency"...when you aren't there, they will assume you already found out

Try and use it on a rather technologically unstable (i.e. old ) person - otherwise they might point out that there are Emergency Release switches for exactly this situation That would be a sticky situation indeed

You could tell them you were ...wait...never mind, that will only land you in jail....not exactly what you're looking for I suspect
