Bob's last check bounced; now the sign reads, "Space for rent".

@Fable: Oh my, you are much more handsome than I thought :o Not that I didn't think you were handsome ;) It is clear that the old prejudice of beauty and intelligence not going together is certainly not true in your case! :D

I am preparing PR-posters with your pretty face and myself in the background (in the requested wet t-shirt).

@HLD: Very cute, my parents have the same type of pictures of me (no sign around the neck though :D ).

@HLD: You were soooooo adorable......*HUG*

There is absolutely no indication of the voyeuristic nature you would develop later in life :D ;)

Robnark and HLD, lol! love the baby pics :D You both look so strangely... innocent... ;)

Fable, for some reason I imagined you to have a far more serious and slightly austere look. ;) Great photo though :)

Thanks--and to the other surprisingly positive comments. Wear black robes and wield a cat-o-nine-tails to get be properly serious and austere: noted. ;)

lol! :D

Well considering that I probably pictured you as a younger version of that guy who used to host the PBS series, Mystery, that seems strangely apt ! :D

Though I would suggest you use caution talking like that around Scayde :p ;)

@HLD: nice pics! :) (Though I find the idea of "numbered kids" a bit sad :( )

@Fable: I imagined you differently! (well I *didn't* imagine you.. I've never met anyone from Babylon :p )
Quite the fascinating type, it seems :D

Not me, pal. A Swedish god offered to fix me up that way a number of years ago, but I refused. Prefer the old equipment I was conjured into existence with. ;)

On another note, Diana Rigg took over hosting Mystery! after Vincent Price left. He was in his early 80s at the time, and died a couple of years later. Frankly, I think he looked healthier than she did. :D

But just think, you could probably have enjoyed a lifetime (eternity) of free massage as part of the deal! :D

Just a note, the first host was actually Gene Shalit. Small wonder he only lasted a year.

But the real star of the show has always been Edward Gorey, whom Fable probably relates to the most.

You had to remind me of that. ;) But you're right. I've never liked Shalit, and I don't know why anybody in the audience would want him as a host for a program about literate, recorded-for-television mysteries. By contrast, Price knew and enjoyed the genre, and took roles in several movie mysteries.

Thanks. :p ;) Never did get Gorey's humor. Always prefered Charles Addams. Gorey was a balletomaine, too, and I've never been too wild about ballet; preferred opera.

What was your favorite Mystery series? Mine was Rumpole of the Bailey. I greatly enjoyed the cleverly designed, realistic characters, the regular shots taken at the British legal system (the series' author was a well-known, successful barrister), and the acting was first rate. I also like a fallible detective, instead of a superhuman one like Holmes or Poirot.

Rumpole was excellent. I really like Cadfael. An unusual period to set the stories. Some how reminded me of I Claudius. I agree about the super detective problem. The humorous ones are always my favorites. I’m not too interested in the darker ones like Second Sight.
