Hill-Shatar suggested I should check out the SYM forum and the Spam Factory thread. So I thought I'd just come and say "hi" and wondered if anyone could tell me what usually goes on around this thread? And around the rest of the Forum?

Hill basically just answered your question. I'll only add that there are essentially three types of threads:
*socialising/pub threads where basically anything goes
*serious threads where off-topic spam is usually frowned upon
*semi-serious threads
Anyway, do enjoy your stay in this madhouse. Here is a nice jacket with sleeves that tie at the back and the keys to your very own well-cushioned room
