Egyptian cat goddess, goddess of a lot of things to be exact. Protecter of cats, mothers, love, fertility, etc.

Nor, that that particular goddess was still worshipped. Odd choice for your friend. Why is she interested in Bast? A cat lover?

Yep, she is, that and she likes getting even with people. I learned not to cross her, and we have a thing we don't cross each other. We're alike in a lot of ways...
