I think that what you just said is one of the smartest things I have heard/seen in this entire forum, minus the double sided light-saber bit.....
O and just to set some things that are definitely confused straight, black is not the absence of color, "pure white" is, or "clear" which ever you want to call it, black is one of the 3 colors that the eye perceives (technically) incorrectly, because black is the easiest color to get, because it is the mix of many colors. Put simply, black is the "ERROR" color, so in the Dark, all the colors are not kept apart, by a strong light, and/or single strong color, so it becomes just a mess of black, or to are eyes Error. ever used night vision goggles? Notice how there is usually a refractive green of some kind on the part you see though? It helps organize the other colors as they enter the eye, thus helping you see in the dark, AKA though the color Black.

black is a tone not a colour but then again in this game you can manipulate light into a beam with a direct ending and can travel through space at light speeds and not be torn particle from particle

ok, i will. i'm not saying it's not possible, because i know a lightsaber isn't actually light, despite it's name, but black is still the absence of light. so by Star Wars capabilities, they could probably get any colour/tone of lightsaber they want, and i say let them. as long as the blade is energy and not actual light (though it may be a source of illumination, somewhat), any colour or tone is do-able

Very true, but normal light bulbs only produce light as a side form of release, trying to burn but cant, so the electrical energy removes its self in a different way. ABTW I would love to Be duel welding a

White/Silver blade

in one hand and a

BLACK

one in the other!!!!!!!!!

Ok I think we can all agree that a BLACK LIGHTSABER is possible, but would it Illuminate, or Delluminate?

I don't think that was what he meant, and I remember seeing another sith with out eather of those colors!!!! it was on the Wookie Planet!!!! He had a purple one!!!!!!! or maybe it was a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! lololol!!!!!!!

hey,yeah this has been eating away at me for a long time, sorry to get off topic but will a lightsaber cut through an energy sword from halo.i mean they're both energy so would they collide or one cut through the other.

Did KOTOR introduce the whole "lightsabers can't cut through certain metals so you can fight one with a vibrosword"? Or was that always a fact about lightsabers? In the films, they seem pretty hardcore. But you would have thought after 6000 years or whatever, they'd have leanrt how to build the stuff in vibroswords into stormtrooper armour...
