By now, the raven has once again taken its place on Jakals shoulder

"No, not realy. Just saw it from a distance. And the one I saw was small."

Jakal shoots a glance at the other two.

"But I.... talked.... to a minotaur who had more to say. About some ossy or onsy or something, and his son, as well as a druegin."

"So, you saw the little gnome and the dragon's whelp eh? They're directing the army the dragon has gathered while she has her way with the land. Notice how wet the ground has gotten to be? That's her work. Changing everything into a swamp around here. She tore up my home and threw a piece of it at us by Reorx!"

Argenta says "I'm from the elemental plane of earth, this stone isn't moving without some form of incredible strength I'm afraid. In case I'm crushed before help arrives, allow me to give you what I know.

I'm what you sometimes call here a 'Stone-child'. The product of a union of an elemental and a human. I've been the White Robes investigator for quite some time now and was sent here to figure out some rumors. I did so, coming to seek Lucana here for assitance as she's lived here her entire life. What I found was disturbing. The dragon, I know not her name, she lets her son Onsy and the Dragon Rider Dreugin do her work while she plays her own games in secret. The dragon, has gathered an army of knights and minotaurs they are training to be knights.

This is bad. Minotaur's alone are trouble, but trained in the knightly orders to learn the arts or organized war and priestly magic. Not to mention being well-armed and advised. This could spell disaster for the region if not stomped out soon.

My order's leader Shawdor wanted to see the connection of rumors between undead growing more ambitious and aggressive and this group. I see no connections between the two, which is good, and bad. Two independant groups may be easier to deal with, but while one is being dealt with, the other grows stronger. I do know this, Lucana's home was destroyed, as you can see by this portion of the walls of it laying on top of me. She is a cleric of Reorx, and a smith of incredible talent. She can help you if you are serious about cleansing the filth from this place."

Lucana whispers something you don't hear to her and turns to you and says "You're a mage. You can help. That skeleton...thing...of yours. Join with me and Argenta here and we can pool our magics and I can make him stronger than you would believe. What do you say?"

Lucana reaches to her back and pulls her backpack off and tosses it over to you and equipment falls out. Two suits of armor, a shield, 3 warhammers, a heavy flail, a greatsword, a staff and a helmet all roll around near your feat. All of them pulse with a magic power stronger than you're own. She says

"I make magic items. You help me, and I'll give you one. But we MUST save her. Will you help?"

She glances at your familiar and says, "You two will be enough. So you know what's going on, I shall be drawing your remaining spell power out of you, along with Argentes and casting a very powerful spell on your familiar there. It will make him incredibly strong but for a very limited amount of time. He will be able to lift the stone, when he does you and I will pull her out. Is that agreeable?"

You see her concentrating and she starts chanting something, then you feel a great build-up of power around her. Suddenly, it feels as if a part of you is sucked right out of you and light flares around her, then you, and Argenta and it all meets around Lucana. She chants again, crushing something in her hands and thrusts her hands towards your familiar. He's then enveloped in an extremely bright red glow, and then grows to be triple his size. She keeps concentrating but says

"Done, now, have him move the rock, and be ready to help me move her as soon as the rock is out of the way."

Your familiar grabs ahold of the rock, bending down and lifting it up slowly. The rock is just huge, your familiar is nearly 18 ft tall now and its clearly still more than twice his height in length alone. He lifts it a few inches, when suddenly you hear a screeching noise and the trees start moving crazily above you.

Lucana stares up into the air and as she opens her mouth to say something, you see black scales and glittering eyes appear through the tree tops. You hear a scream from Argenta as she yells for you to run and leave her. The trees part above you and a huge black head pushes through the tree-tops. It grins at you and opens its mouth and sucks its breath in.
