I suspect that owing to things like patient confidentiality the hospitals would not release that kind of infomation......

Edit: Technically we don't need to know what is going on. We just need to know if Margus is in the hospital. Asking if a patient is in, is acceptible i believe.

Ok, dudes. There's a person on my site right, and he's viewing Magrus' PRIVATE folder on the site. Meaning, you need a password to enter it and only he and I know it. He is viewing a lot of the files in there, but the only problem is, the IP adress isn't the same as Magrus' so, I think magrus might be back, I could be wrong though and it could be someone who cracked the password. That's all I've seen so far.

What about a phone number of the hospital....some of us live in the USA...we could call the hospital to see if he has checked in.....there has to be loop hole in getting this information...I'll try to find out from the nurses I know...although every state is different.

I'm willing to call later today or tomorrow (I can't tie up the phone right now). As I said, though, I'm not sure they'll tell us anything.
I can take the same approach as with the police though...
i.e If Mag is in the hospital, would they consider having Mag himself, or a family member/friend contact us if they want to/are able...

Yeah, that's what I meant. And if he was in there, he wouldn't likely even find out that someone had called...until reading this anyway.

Regarding someone viewing that file, if it is Magrus then he may not want us to know. *shrugs*

We basically need to know if Magrus is in the hospital and if we can contact the next of Kin. This information i believe is standard.

Ok, I emailed Hill the IP's (Magrus' old IP and this new one).

I dunno how long it will take for him to get it, but we'll see I guess.

I just hope we can find Magrus' because you guys are right, he wouldn't make an unexpected leave like this.

You do realise that if he is fine we are going to look like jackasses for worrying about a guy who disappeared for 15 days

Confidential as in no one is supposed to know or only a few of you know and wont say anything to keep his identity safe? I only ask because how is any one to contact the hospitals without a name?

@CM, you do have a point there there are members who have left for quite sometime now and return months later....except non that I know of have a serious condition

There are about half a dozen of us who know his real name.
I know what you mean... It's just that I'm pretty cautious about releasing private information.. and truthfully I'm at a bit of a loss as to how many people should know any personal details. My instincts say that it is wise to keep it limited though. For one, in the event that we need to contact any official avenues we will appear a bit more mature and more trustworthy (hopefully) if we maintain a somewhat professional approach...

But, I'm open on any of this, so if anyone has any thoughts on how far we want to spread the search net, please post them.

We seem to be going round in circles.

1. Athena has yet to get back to us
2. Syb thinks he may be back. We should at least give that possibility a little time
3. A new IP may help and we haven't done anything with that yet
4. We had kind of decided to wait before approaching any authorities, I thought.

My own view is that we are not doing anything wrong and I am not paranoid about this. Like Lestat, if calls need to be made I'm willing. I am not so sure hospitals will give even confirmation if you are not a family member, but things may be different in the US. I do think that's a second last resort sort of thing. I have no problem with the kind of approach to the police described but I do REALLY think we should not do that any time very soon.

It occurs to me that he has people he shares accommodation with. If there is a real problem they will be busy but there is the possibility they may think to let us know sometime over the next month.GB was a big part of Magrus life, is my impression, and they would be likely to know that. Course they might not be able to do that, but it's is another reason we should give this some time.
