Well LA,

There's dusty ranger here that's avoiding gull droppings and the smell coming from the nasty fish sauce "bath" that a kender and cleric have concocted. :laugh:

re: the shootings, I think you're right. RPGs don't catch as much flak. The FPSs have gotten so intricate, involved, & "realisitic" that some blame them for sending fringe folks over the edge. Usually it's not the game as much as it is the family dynamics or lack there of (IMHO).

Well - Roleplaying and such games have historically caught a lot of flack by being accused (by religious factions) to amongst other lead to witchcraft and devilworship I simply just think the graphical detail is what focuses people to more obvious violent games now, but the RPG aren't out of the woods yet.
"Luckily" - the quality of RPGs are dwindeling so less interest about them, so perhaps fans of the genre will dodge much of the heat.

I do however recall something about Bethesda getting an increased rating due to more blood then expected and the fact that third party people could make naked modifications to the game
Of all things wrong with this game, that is what review boards look at - they should rather put a warning saying that a wet towel could play the game (sorry - bit annoyed tonight, so ranting about one of my favorite ranting topics. hehehe)

Seems like I've been on the go so much the past couple of weeks that I don't get the chance to shake the dust off my boots.

@Xandax - this blood thing means Fallout 3 will be rated for all ages because it will have less graphic violence, sex and perversion, not to mention blood? Oh shoot!

Perhaps, Bethesda is holding their hand close so not much - if anything - have been released but a E3 poster..... but *horror*, do not paint such pictures in my mind. :speech:

Heh, if Bethesda mess with the fans, the fans will mess with bethesda, be sure. Then it'll be Bethesda down, sold to EA or some other gigantic corporation who picks interest in the morrowind storyline.

Bethesda has a huge following from Oblivion and Morrowind (proberly more the latter then the former), so I doubt ruining the Fallout-franchise would do them much. They will sell enough copies from the following of Bethesda and the Fallout fans hungering for another Fallout game. :mischief:

Just think if they would release Baldurs Gate 3, many of us would buy it outright simply because of the name in the hope of something good, even if made by a company which is distrusted.... I'm affraid I would anyways

First, because it takes eons for the games to come to Brazil, so I would be spared because the crowd in these and other forums would tell me if the games were bad.

I doubt Bethesda will do a good fallout game, you know.

Can you imagine a fallout without turn based, gratuitous violence and isometric view?

I dobut it to, and no, I can't really imagine a Fallout in the Oblivion engine. The game didn't even handle 3rd person view all that good. And FO:T really showed how difficult real time in the Fallout rule set is.

I do hope they keep S.P.E.C.I.A.L ruleset, I do hope a 3rd person/isometric option (a good opition) is possible and I do hope the feel/humor/storyline of the game is kept intact.

Having played ES:II, III and IV - I'm not positive either, but I'm waiting with my jugdement until actual information hits the streeths.

Interesting, I show up and everyones gone. I see how ya'll are!

Fine. Nothing much happening at SYM though, from what I can tell, aside from a few new topics that emerged. Not much traffic either compared to a month ago.

Bah! Traffic will jump back. Newer members tend to look on quieter forums as cannon-fodder for random thoughts of insignificance. It'll just take a little bit of time.

Meh, not around much anymore, it's harder and harder to find time for much forum going these days. Everything seems well, though.

And time zone differences don't help.
