Fabulous slade mi compadre :D ... Yourself?

@ Lestat: I agree with Fiona that you've gotta press for better security, as this seems like something that could easily happen again. :(

P.S. I'm Irish. There is a large Irish mafia still in existence... Just so you know.

First I've heard of this Irish 'mofia'. Only makes sense that they own pubs, I guess. :p

Concerning the security, well, the landlord would try to get that door into place today. Which is hardly possible with the larger option. Anyway he is doing what he can, and well, since his motives are not entirely altruistic (he might lose current or future large paying lessees, and he's living in the same building) I'm fairly sure he'll do what he can. Hell, he immediately proposed reimbursing what went missing and he's been kind enough in the past.

On the other hand there is only so much you can do. I just hope it isn't a semi-inside job (ie with complicity of my cleaning lady), I don't think so, but alas you get a bit paranoid.

Naturally... What the hell else would the Irish mob own? A panneling business ;) ?
Not very Mafioso if you ask me... :D

@ lestat: That's good he's definitely making the effort to help at least... Nothing worse than one who might blame YOU for bringing trouble on HIS business  ...

Good to know he's doing what he can and you will get the grate today. Do you have an option to stay somewhere else until the proper measures are taken. Would you want to if you could?

@Tony, no, they'd be in the building industry. Making people concrete shoes. :D

@Lestat, I hope the security does improve. Being broken into once, is more likely to make the building a target again, if they think they can get away with it. :(

Are you kidding me dear? My fridge is always well stocked :D ... I bleed this stuff  ...

*Grabs a bottle of Guinness from mini fridge, opens with "Family Guy" bottle-opener, tosses to Juni*

Enjoy. Don't mind the widget on the inside, it keeps the beer tasting fresh.

Have you ever tried Murphy's before? Or anyone here for that matter? It's a wee bit lighter, you might like it... Somewhere in between Guiness and Sam Adams in weight... Hard to find though...

No they would be in the aquariam business helping people sleep with the fishes:laugh:

@ Tony. Murphy's is quite common here, as is Beamish. Guiness is still tops, though

@slade, maybe both? Harder to escape with concrete anchors. :p

Well I expect the security guards to be more alert, and I don't see any immediate reason to go sleeping elsewhere. But depending on whether or not the grate is installed, I intend to take certain precautions.

But yeah, might not be sleeping extremely well tonight (and I don't think I would either if I went elsewhere).

Hahaha, nice slade and rav... Steretoypes can be fun :D ...

@ Fiona: Where is "here" becaus I want to be "there"... Your company is a plus :) , but I haven't had Beamish in ages... Murphy's is great though: it isn't Guinness, but I love it :D .

... Don't answer if you don't want, no pressure.

Oi! We gotst urselves a Scot heer eh?

(...supposed to be Irish dialect, pretty bad I know  ... typing in accent is hard ;) )

Well I suppose that would make sense that they have that there... Scotland's like Ireland but with less drinking and more kilts :D .

My family and I went to Ireland this past summer and, being of drinking age, it was one of the most fabulous experiences of my life... Really prepared me for the, er, Rigors of college :) .

@slade, that's such a paradox. :rolleyes: :p

*thinks of a better paradox*

Ahh. How can simple design programs for computers designed to draw 2-dimensional diagrams demand high resources from those computers? It's not like it's for rendering computer game graphics or anything. :p
*blames the manufacturers, a Borland  *
