Gwalchmai finally realizes that he is way too old for this kind of stuff, has a heart attack and dies, slumping next to Bloodstalker's body. Nippy's anguish is such that he, too, dies of a broken heart, flopping across the other two forms. Ned Flanders doesn't wish to see so much good blood go to waste and drinks deeply of Gwally's vein before it runs cold - but he doesn't realize the poisons that were pumped into Gwally's bloodstream by the spider attack. So Ned, also, dies an ignoble death. Thantor rushes to see what could be the matter, but trips on his own dire mace and impales himself on Bloodstalker's spiky armor. Aegis, blinded in one eye, limping, and suffering from the spicy breakfast burrito he had eaten earlier, inexplicably drops dead.

Yshania, stood over the growing pile of bodies of her friends and wonders, "Is this enough corpses? I wouldn't want to waste my Mass Raise Dead....."

Heh...maybe he just thought that if he sacrificed himself, and a few others for good measure, that this might inspire Ysh to feel compassion. The flaw in his plan was that he freed the women of nearly all of the men I am using the term men loosely now, you realise this don't you?
