I hope she did... haven't given her the present yet because I didn't want her to bend it in her locker... it's a poster of Johnny Depp

Your day, Maggy?
That's nice, and yeah, you don't want to bend that. Girls adore that man for some strange reason. I have to admit, he is friggin awesome.
My day was spent sleeping, dreaming, and nursing my wounds from my flight down the stairs last night. The alcohol wore off in my sleep, and they
hurt. I stayed home from work.
@ Chim, I'm in the same boat as you. I have 2 cans of soda left, and a liter of rum. Must increase rum-coke ratio in order to preserve mixer!
I took C and C++ at my uni. I never really got the hang of them; I'm still not sure how I ever passed those classes.
That's where I've taken C++...hopefully I'll have passed it.
It'll be close though.
The changelings thing couldn't be an extension of that, since the changelings weren't aware they could hit the Alpha Quadrant until Sisko and Jadzia--JADZIA, not EZRI--discovered the wormhole. And I meant in the books. A friend of mine said he once wrote something where the parasites were central to his story, but I never read it; he's a history major anyway. I would've made them some extension of something else, and that something else would've been like the Dominion was to DS9.
I didn't mean that the changelings and the parasites were actually related, in the books the parasites are actually an offshoot of the Trill symbiotes.
No, I meant from a story point of view that people would look the same from the outside but in fact are either duplicated or being controlled by something else. So, a person from the outside think they're talking to friend of 20 years etc, when in fact they're not.

I think he's a good actor too myself.
Umm, no. Non-narcotic painkillers no longer have any effect on me. I made myself to commemorate a special occasion tonight thought. That should help with the pain in a while.

No no no, those things look nothing like the Trill symbiotes. The Trill symbiotes are like liver-sized, practically, whereas those parasties were practically fist-sized. And the Trill symbiotes go in the stomach, while the parasites were in the back of the neck. In the words of the immortal Johnny Cochran on South Park, "That does not make sense."

ROFL
@Magrus: oh, dude, you have no idea. I had like a half a bottle of a 2-liter Coke left, and I poured rum in it (Captain Morgan's spiced, of course), and it's so damn strong I'm so gone right now.

Uhh...yeah. Though if it's happened over a long enough time...evolution could make it happen.
Besides, it was in the book. There were Trill bounty hunters and everything.

Trill bounty hunters? Uh, no. Well, okay, I suppose in every society, there's gotta be a few. But that'd be like seeing a Hutt bounty hunter. They don't hunt bounties; they post them.
Oh, Rav, no. Those parasites take complete control of the host, and the symbiotes only share the collective knowledge/personalities of previous hosts with the new host. The parasites were more manipulative in that way, and were insect-like, while the Trill symbiote looked more like a brain, and they thrived in those ponds in the caves. I do not buy it. No, evolution does not exist here; there is a
missing link.

I'm recovering from a bender from last night where I bruised bones and tore chunks of skin off of my hand in a tumble down a flight of stairs. I'm taking it easy now, but really, I had to make a drunk strong enough to keep me drunk all night as I'm limited on funds and chaser.

Its about a 50/50 mix and wicked with its kick.

I'm not really drunk. Just a nice, mellow buzz like I wanted. The flat coke is probably from the heavy influx of rum. '
@ Phreddie. No. Kitten is the only one allowed to lecture me on alcohol with any sort of impunity.

I dont care about the effects of the lecture, just imagine yourself in an overheated gymnasium in the middle of may, a Police officer standing in front of a big projector screen and a podium, with a remote in hand, clicking through slides on a powerpoint. Theses slides depict car crashes, barroom brawls, and dead prostitutes....

Dude, if I turned on my cam and recored my behavior, then watched it in the morning... okay, I'd realize how much fun I had had and continue to drink,a ctually. Oh dude tonight's os fun.
Considering that Magrus and I are both bound to our places of residence, I doubt car crashes will affect us. Especially as buzzed as I am right now; I'd laugh my bum off, and I mean that. I was just fooling around on people's MySpaces and had a good hoot; I commented on a friend congratulations on her engagement, and a mutual friend commented a few minutes later congratulating her, too, and she's not even dating anyone. I couldn't stop laughing for ten actual minutes.

In 2000, I was actually cast to be in a new movie for that sort of thing. My Marine Biology teacher chose me to be in it; probably cuz I was a senior and a "good" student, I really don't remember. He didn't even give me the reasoning. Anyway, long story short, I've driven while under the influence since then, and I gotta say, I'm not so bad. I'm not usually extraordinairly drunk when I drive, so that's part of it; I definitely wait it out before I go driving, to make sure I can handle it, and if I find myself stumbling to the car, I sit in said car and wait quite a while longer before I even take off the parking brake.
