*sings*
sometimes you want to go
where everybody knows your name
and there always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
our troubles are all the same
you want to be where everybody knows your name

When was that chu? I hadn't heard of it...though I haven't perused that much of SYM archives.
@Lestat, you have such great faith in me!

Actually, it was getting involved in that other thread that made me as active as I am now on this forum. Go figure!
Also, how much does that Cingular Star Wars pop up ad suck? I can't type unless I close it. And it comes up EVERY TIME!

It was a big spam thread in the BG 2 forums. Sleep started it. It grew so big that it broke the board. Satan then brought about the divine awakening (or the creation of SYM, w/e). But all the information in that thread was lost. *spooky* :speech:

For your problem with the ads, what browser do you use? This problem happens mainly with IE.

Probably back in 2001 or something then?
I think GB could handle a lot bigger by now. Just look at the amount of members for instance.
I'm not that easy to tease...am I? When did you first notice?

Yes, but that contributes to the problem. The SF probably takes up a good percentage of GBs memory. I dont think the SF itself would bring it down, but I think it might be the can of spam that broke the vending machine.

Ahh yes goody, the infamous Board Braker, even Hill has not read that thread, for it was lost in the tumult which caused Satan to bring Forth SYM form his Fiery Bowels; It took the destruction of the board, and the ultimate death of Goody to Create that which you take for granted.

@chu, I don't think they'd hesitate to tell us if they thought it could happen again.

Yeah, I use Internet Explorer. It isn't really a big deal. I just felt like ranting. I don't know how much of the past dozen or so posts you've followed, but I'm chemically altered at the moment, and my posts aren't making much sense.

*nods* But what do we have to save us if the SF should be destroyed?????????
We cant make another board, unless we split SYM.
It could result in the abolishment of all high post count spam threads.

I've got a really good ad blocker and I hardly get any now. I don't know how I got it but it is really effective. Sadly it blocks most of the games which people link and the snowflake thing too.

Maybe it isn't worth it

Well, I use Opera and don't have any pop-up problems (unless visiting some website that spawns 5 in one go). And the snowflake thing worked fine through Opera too.
@chu, yeah, that's a pickle...
