I have a Belgian keyboard, with all kind of nice diacritic signs and letters that are used in French & Dutch (for words like sûr and georiënteerd or café) but normally on the English keyboard you should have it with an "alt gr" combination, but don't ask me where.

Gahh...the Alt Gr thing is so confusing...I wish it was like my PDA that has a special thing that lets you select a layout with loads of accented letters...

Well yes you can change the layout of your keyboard, but then it doesn't correspond anymore to letters & signs marked on your actual physical keys.

The easiest way to get those things if you don't know the keyboard combo is to use the çħåřäċţēŗ map.

Start Menu ► Programs ► Accessories ► System Tools ► Character Map

On a PDA, you have an on-screen keyboard that you tap with a stylus, tapping the Shift/Caps button brings up the layout for capital letters...and a another one brings up other characters such as the accents.
