Georgi's flametongue plunged into the orc's heart.
"I haven't seen them, I thought Dragonwench was with you... Any sign of Gwalchmai? Are we on the right track?"

"No, dragon wench is not with me...I heard a clue that Gwalchmai headed toward the dryad forest, so I'm headed that way. It shouldn't be far now...but we need to prepare for a major fight, those dryads can be terrible..."

Recalling that a certain trusty ranger had a cabin in these parts, Dragon Wench decides to see if he has seen or heard anything that might shed light on the Harem's quest.
Cautiously, she taps on the door. Much surprised, Valygar opens the door and offers a steaming mug of coffee, liberally spiked with Bailey's to the now soaked Dragon Wench. Upon sampling the warming concoction she wonders how Anomen would feel about another male in the tent

.
But as the potent brew revived her, she recalled the urgency of her mission, and enquired if Valygar had noticed anything odd or seen any signs of Gwalchmai. Furrowing his brow, he replied that he had not seen the missing slave, but that there had been considerable activity amongst the orcs and ogres of the area.
Valygar, suggests that the Druid Grove might be a good place to continue the investigation and offers to accompany Dragon Wench on the journey. Dragon Wench, although briefly tempted, decides that she will have a greater chance of success, without distractions. So she thanks Valygar for his kind hospitality and plots a course for the Druid Grove, hoping against hope that it's not too late.

Georgi grimly wiped the splattering of orc's blood from her face.
"Well, it's a good thing I came prepared. Let's go."
She shot a glance at Loner. "Do you think he's..." she trailed off.

Loner clutched Georgi's arm. "No!" she cried. "Don't even suggest such a thing! Don't even think it!" Then Loner stood in stunned silence. She had shocked and surprised herself at her own concern for Gwalchmai...could it be that she cared for him more than she had previously thought?...She shook the thought off. "That's ridiculous," she told herself; "also disloyal."
"Come, Georgi," she said staunchly. "Let us find these dryads..."

Suddenly, Fable bounded into the room, wearing a white tunic and waving a lightsabre in elaborate defensive patterns. He glanced about, then halted. "Oh, um. Sorry. Wrong RPG universe. Damn it, happens all the time." Muttering, he turned and left.

"Okay. If we want to stay alive, we better stick together, none of this you-go-one-way-and-I'll-go-the-other nonsense..."
They darted silently through the forest, flitting from tree to tree like woodland spirits. A short distance from the edge of the grove, Georgi froze suddenly. She realised the hair on the back of her neck was standing on end...

(Loner slays a stray Ettercap, for amusement.)
"Georgi...what's going on? It isn't that guy with the glowing sword is it? He left."

Dragon Wench, after trudging through mile upon, mile of bog, hill and forest, finally reaches the Druid Grove. Presently she discovers the body of an Orc alongside the base of a tree. Crouching down and examining the corpse, she sees the familiar marks of scorching on the hidious green skin. Breathing a deep sigh of relief, she recognizes the trademark burns of Georgi's trusty flame tongue branding the orc's torso. Judging, by the still congealing blood, the skirmish has been a recent one. After much searching in the dim light she finally notices the barely visible tracks of her fellow harem members, and the faintly lingering scent of Tia Maria in the wind. Much relieved, she hoists her pack over her aching shoulders and sets of to find them.

"I know, I felt his presence..."
"Well, the dryads are close, I can tell, but it's not that... I think... are we being followed??"

Loner turns slowly to see an advancing form...the gait seems familiar somehow...
"Georgi, I think it's all right...Let's hide behind this tree till the figure approaches."

Dragon Wench, noticing that the unmistakable scent of Tia Maria was getting stronger, noticed the flickering of a light ahead. Carefully (wary of possible traps) she headed towards it's welcoming glow.

"it's not... is it?" Georgi whispered to Loner as the figure drew closer.

"Ah-HAAAA!!!" Loner exulted. "It is! DRAGON WENCH!!!!! You're here! Now let's kick some dryad booty! Although...it may be more profitable to speak to them first..."

(Loner realizes she sounds a bit like Minsc and takes another long swig of Bailey's...)

Loner passes the bottle to Georgi, who takes a swig for good luck, and proffers it to Dragonwench.
"Ok, so who's for talking to the dryads, and who just wants to kill them? Let's remember, we have no idea whether they have even seen Gwalchmai..."

Dragon Wench wearily reveals what she has learned to her companions, and quaffs a few potions in preparation for the inevitable confrontation with the Dryads. The three Harem members wonder if there any any possible links between the missing Gwalchmai, Dark Poet's nearly fatal wound, the orcs and ogres, and the Dryads. And just what role has the shadowy Doc. Waverly played in all of this?

"I always suspected Waverly, but we need to deal with these dryads first. We should assume they still ahve Gwalchmai hostage, so I say we talk first. Ehh...is it just the three of us then? Must be. I'll do the talking unless one of you wants to..."

tired and worn from her travels, a lone figure makes her way to the shelter of a small cabin. all she could think of is hot water for a bath and ice cream to ease the soul of this weary bard. the door to the cabin was already open. drawing her katana she enters ready for ambush. all she found was a body on the floor lying face down.
there is something familiar about this still form. as she check to see if he was still alive, she gasped
"gwalchmai?"

"Ehh, ok, you talk... And I'll skulk in the back with my longbow just in case of any... accidents"
