Dragon Wench had been covertly assessing Menadir, she was intrigued by the suggestions of his ambidextrous abilities.
Arching her eyebrow at him,and unable to resist a flirtatious wink, she enquired how he had come to know of the Drow activity. Then she grinned at Vivien, Dark Poet and T'lainya, and informed them that the food would be ready shortly. To whet their appetites she placed a tray of appetizers on the table and found a nicely, chilled bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge.

"We did fight a Drow mage, a few days back. When Thantor, popped throw the doorway. Dw here, cast a summoning spell, five sheep appeared. They were killer sheep though, they saved my life."
Menadir, looked at Darkpoet and smirked.
"You always had a thing with animals."
"Yeah, if I'm correct, a certain bear didn't care for me though." Darkpoet stared at Menadir with humorless eyes. He then closed his eyes, and smiled.
"Sorry, it wasn't your fault. You think the shadow master, is behind this or someone else?"
Menadir frowned, "We don't know. The information is so, light and no one is talking." he turned and winked at Dw.
"These appetizers, are fantastic Dw."

T’lainya looked guilty. “I’m sorry Dp, I thought I was getting even with Menadir.” She shot her cousin a look.
Menadir just smirked knowingly. T’lainya had a slight suspicion he knew more about the bear incident than he was admitting to. She decided to let that pass though. Darkpoet glanced at Menadir too. His eyes told T he held the same thought.
Menadir flashed a grin at Dw “I assure you that any and all accusations are probably true.” He brushed the dark hair out of his eyes and answered Dw’s earlier question. “My group follows the elven god Sheverash. We are the sworn enemies of the drow. That isn’t unusual for elves, but we take a more active role in thwarting their plans. We believe to strike first is to have the greatest success.” He raised his glass to Dw and winked at T. “Here’s to the cook.”

Vivien gave Darkpoet a friendly and non-sexual hug back (T'lainya

), she then set about helping herself to the Chardonnay before offering it to others.
"Animals aside, for we all know that I could talk endlessly about their cuteness, I thought I would offer my talents to this cause. If the drow have been bad, they will have to learn their manners. A few magic missiles should teach them not to hurt nice animals and people."
She realized she had said what she had been thinking, and decided to sit quietly next to Darkpoet and focus on her drink.

Menadir grinned at Viv. “And I echo your sentiments completely.”
T’lainya caught Darkpoets eye and grinned. He grinned back and shrugged. Viv looked up and smiled distractedly at everyone. (

)T’lainya mused out loud, ”Has anyone called the others for dinner?”

Inclining her head at the compliments to her cooking, Dragon Wench smiled and placed crepes filled with fresh berries on the table. She briefly considered getting out some whipping cream, but managed to resist the impulse, since she knew that her and Viv would want to give Gwally a nice, warm, welcome when he returned.
She blushed slightly, and then her thoughts returned again to the Drow presence. Addressing Menadir, somewhat more formerly this time, she said,
"Are you suggesting that we should be prepared for a Drow attack? If that is the case, I hope that you are planning on staying for a time, our numbers are a little reduced at the moment."

Darkpoet put food in his mouth, to keep from commenting on Menadir's flirting. Shaking his head to keep from laughing, then he remember something.
"Menadir, this isn't the same Drow mage you dumped awhile back, is it? I thought she was hunting you, or do you miss her that much?"
Darkpoet looks at the crepes, then at Dw.
"Dw, what no whipping cream?? Don't tell me it's all gone? I just bought some."

Dragon Wench smiled sweetly at DP, and said,
"that's funny, I only bought some yesterday, did you have to replace it?"

Darkpoet nodded to Dw. "I see, but I bought some the day before. I'm not doing the cooking anymore. So, someone is really, doing some cooking then. Or are you saving it for someone special?"

This news puzzled Dragon Wench. They seemed to be going through an extroardinary quantity of whipping cream these days and she knew that her, and Viv, and Gwally were not solely responsable.
She wondered if Dark Poet's new pets had something to do with it.

Darkpoet saw the look on DW's face. "Don't even go there." he thought.
"Has anyone seen Thantor and Georgi?" Darkpoet asked.

T’lainya focused on her wine glass. She looked up at her cousin who seemed deeply intrigued by the conversation. She renewed her efforts not to laugh when she saw the rapt expression on his face.
Menadir made a visible effort to stop staring at DW and Dp

He looked at T’ and realized what Dp had said. “Drow mage? Youknow better!” He yelped before he realized he was being teased. “The evident fascination with whipping cream is more to my taste…” He grinned, enjoying the teasing between the group.

"Georgi and Thantor are catching up, I believe, and I don't think that any of us should bother them," said Dragon Wench seriously.
Then deciding that the crepes would go well with whipping cream afterall, she peered into the fridge and grabbed the bottle of cream (a two litre containor). Looking down at it she noted that a small piece of white fluff was adhered to the cap. she touched it, and saw that it was indeed sheep's wool.
Dragon Wench shook her head, mystified, and then suddenly an idea struck her. She turned to the others,
"You know, I think that those sheep might derive their warrior abilities from the consumption of whipping cream, they are quite unlike any ovines I've ever encountered."

"Menadir, Dw is the one to talk to about whipping cream. Before I was allowed to even touch a sword, all day I made whipping cream, for her and the others. Both Gwally and I, cooked and cleaned fo............"
Darkpoet, looked up at Menadir, his mouth was open, T'lainya closed it for him. Menadir looked at DW, then Vivien, who smiled. Over to T'lainya, then to Darkpoet.
"Since when do you cook? You worked for these beautiful women? So, um did you, um you know?" Menadir asked with a smile. T'lainya, turned to look at Darkpoet, with a raised eyebrow. Darkpoet shook his head,
"Nope, I can truely say, nothing happened, right ladies?"

Darkpoet choked on his wine. *cough* "Um, Anomen was the only one who got drunk. No, I don't remember, you ladies ever offering me a drink." Darkpoet, tried to think back that far, but his brain was still scramble from the demon.

T'lainyas eyebrow went up even further as she kept her gaze on Darkpoet."Tia Maria? And exactly how much of did you drink?" While Dp sputtered in his wine, T looked over at Dw and winked.

Dragon Wench smiled reassuringly at T'lainya, "I don't think it was any more than one bottle, he needed it to recover from rescuing Anomen......."
Then her grin increased, "we made him get into the jacuzzi to clean himself off, I think that the hot water combined with the alcohol had something of an effect on him."

Darkpoet put his hands up. "Now, wait a minute, I have never had Tia Maria. I only drink wine, whiskey and a good Ale....."
Darkpoet paled, after hearing Dw.
"Awwwww Dw, that's not fair. I did no such thing, you had Anomen and that ring. I never did get drunk, and you know it. I never really had time to get drunk, cleaning up after you ladies. Besides the cooking, I walked around picking up after you. What time I did have, I went to the Copper Coronet to fight in the cage. That's the truth T'lainya, I'll take you to Bernard. He would vouch for me."

At the sight of Dark Poet pleading his innocence to T'lainya, Dragon Wench couldn't contain herself any longer and she convulsed into laughter. Finally she managed to talk.
"Actually Dark Poet, you didn't drink any Tia Maria, we ran out that night, so it was Kahlua instead."
