Kuu'shar

I seal the crate with great care, and leave it in a more estable position.

afterward I share my finding with the group

"I will patrol the perimeter while you guys speak... I dont think we are still that safe" I remeber the creature and walk away with obvious concern
Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know

Kolgar
to your knowledge the translucent layer is quite like glass in texture, smooth, and solid as well.
As for the members of the group that you know are alive: Kolgar, Eimia, Kuu'shar, Gabriel, Serjit, the two prisoners and the four drivers (including Meliss).

Kuu'shar
The crate seems solid as you are done putting it together again. When you go out to check the perimeter you hear the sound of multiple wolves backing away again. Running this time.

I look puzzled not knowing much about delicate devices and strange alchemy bottles. Fortunately Kuu'shar's scream wakes me up from my contemplation so I quickly join him and try to spot the incoming attackers if any.

Kuu'Shar and Onid
The forest outside the camp is dead silent, and for several seconds nothing seems to even live there. Then the silence is broken by a pained howl from a wolf not far away, somewhat like a dying scream.

Kolgar
When you see trough the edge of the case you see after some time that small parts of it seems to get solid in reaction to the light. Although it is only some particles of the glass that starts reflecting the light it seems something is supposed to be written there, this is what you make out of it when you look along it:
"
I
2:

:

8
"
Most of the writing that is supposed to be there is not yet solid enough though, your calm and wise insight tell you more light is needed for the rest of the writing to become discernible.

As I hear the bone chilling howls I gather some woods and dry leaves and try to light a fire,

I put the scroll case in my backpack or in some safer location if there is one, then i roll a spot and listen check to discern the location of the dying wolf, in the process i run around the camp and check the different caravans in case someone is missing or dead again, also notifying them of the situation if they dont know

Kuu'shar

I hand Onid one of the torches I carry around and lit it for him. "I have no need for light my eyes are acostumed to the dark, shall I take the lead and go investigate what is going on? or do we stay put and let what ever is out there be on its way?"

i think its better if we stay, theres no reason to seek unneeded confrontation, not to mention it has attacked the wolves and not us yet, who would have probably attacked us already if they had the chance, its also better that we stay together instead of being separated and easier targets

Eimia-

I set down the rock somewhere, and hover back to my tree. I stay alert for a few minutes, to see if any commotion starts up, but otherwise I go back to sleep.

Kuu'Shar and Onid
As you walk over to where the howl of the wolf came from, you find a wolf corpse lying there, clearly visible is a point between the eyes of the wolf, looking heavily scorched.

"What in the name of the gods did this" I say while I kneel next to the wolf and look for tracks to who ever or what ever killed the wolf.

I look down at the wolf and then I speak to Kuu'shar,

"This certainly looks familiar. Is he dead? He might be in the same state as the merchant. Who could have done this to them?!"

Then I start to look around trying to find any clues.

Kuu'Shar and Onid
Both of you find a track of roughly human footprints right next to the wolf, in addition, Kuu'Shar notice a set of marks in the snow surrounding the footprints. To you it seems like some humanoid landed in the snow, did this, and flew off , with a couple of wings.

Suddenly, the wolf starts to twitch, spasms running trough its body.

Everyone else
You hear the merchant corpse starting to move, in a twitchy manner, seemingly unnatural.

(Initiative will be: Wolf, Sjerith, Merchant, Onid, Gabriel, Kuu'Shar, Eimia, Kolgar. And for now Gabriel and Sjerith will be controlled by me, due to a request from their players.)
In combat

The wolf spasms some more before you hear the unmistakable tearing of skin, then the bones of the wolf emerge, seeming very hostile.

Sjerith
hearing the shuffling sounds from within the cart Sjerith springs to action, willing forth a blade from his hand and readying himself for whatever comes out that wagon.

The merchant shuffles some more inside the wagon, before you hear the skin tear again, those with the line of sight to him see that his skeleton rises inside the wagon.

(Onid is up next, an unfriendly wolf skeleton looks at you with its now empty eye-sockets)

Without hesitating I quickly raise my greatsword and slash at the wolf,

Attack (+4): 12+4=16
Damage (+4): 4+4=8

To the DM: Can we know everyone's position? And I am not sure if Onid and Kuu'shar are flanking or not the wolf (they should I believe since they were both examining it).

Onid
Your blow strikes the wolf, and though the bones are resilient, you manage to pick of a few of it bones.

Gabriel
Gabriel casts a spell as he positions himself to the side of the wagon, holding the charge of shocking grasp in his hand until the merchants skeleton comes out.

(Yes, you and Kuu'Shar are flanking, and for the record, about 40 feet away from camp, the others are generically outside the wagon the merchant is inside, aside from that I give you freedom to stand where you please)
(Kuu'Shar is up next, the wolf has recently been stricken and seems intent on taking down Onid)

Eimia-

In a sing songy voice she chimes in to Kuu'shar's exclaimation- "You shouldn't mess with things that aren't your business, otherwise the big bad boogeyman might come and getcha, Rawr!" And then she creates a childish rhyme "Play with the dead and you lose yer head! Lop off your head and you become the dead."

I watch as the scene unfolds instead of falling asleep. Eimia, while not intimidated by the macabre, is also desensitized enough she is unwilling to help unless direct and visible danger is involved.
