@Ty...actually, yeah, there are a few that I don't like all that well, Europe comes to mind :D It's hard to remember most of who I don't like, as I don't listen to them regularly and they slip my mind :D

@T...it's only teasing if I don't perform, if I do, it's called building tension ;) :p :D

What are you implying, T'? ;)

@BS I ask because I saw an episode of "1-hit wonders" that featured the hair-metal bands
Quiet Riot-Cum on Feel the Noise
Ratt-Round and Round (What Goes around Comes around)
Vixen-????
Autograph-Turn up the Radio

It was somewhat interesting.

@Ty, yeah, but to me RATT was bigger than "One Hit Wonder" status indicates.
:D

Of coarse not.......*starts installing multiple cameras in room*

did someone say RATT?

Round and Round

Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet
You make the night, I always cross the line
Tightened our belts, abuse ourselves
Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf
Another day, some other way
We're gonna go, but then we'll see you again
I've had enough, we've had enough
Cold in vain, she said

I knew right from the beginning
That you would end up winnin'
I knew right from the start
You'd put an arrow through my heart

Round and round
With love we'll find a way just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why

Dig

Lookin' at you, lookin' at me
The way you move, you know it's easy to see
The neon light's on me tonight
I've got a way, we're gonna prove it tonight
Like Romeo to Juliet
Time and time, I'm gonna make you mine
I've had enough, we've had enough
It's all the same, she said

I knew right from the beginning
That you would end up winnin'
I knew right from the start
You'd put an arrow through my heart

Round and round
With love we'll find a way just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why

Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet
You make the night, I always cross the line
Tightened our belts, abuse ourselves
Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf

Round and round
With love we'll find a way just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why

Round and round
With love we'll find a way just give it time, time, time, time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why, why, why, why
Round and round

:D

You really want to play with fire T? I can put a different cd in, maybe even a little Prince :D Shhh is a good song ;)

@Ty, Detonator was their best cd IMO, I think the "one hit wonder" tag gets applied to liberally nowadays :D

@ BS I love playing with fire *plays Def Leppard-Pyromania* ;)
the one hit tends to be a cross chart thing, RATT had a number of wellknown songs :)

True T, but charts can lie, how many bands have been major forces and never were a major chart presence? :D

by T'lainya
True BS :) I never pay attention to charts since IMO any chart that has Mariah Carey on it deserves to be burned :D

Or boy bands. But it's always been that way, even for the hair bands, most of the biggest hits were from ballads :D

LOL thus the mandatory ballad on every album :D
I saw the lyrics in the lyrics thread :D

Sorry, My internet was struggling for life, so I got a gun and put it out of its misery. Im on the older computer now, and the internet works fine.

@T' As far as me getting bad habits, I dunno, cameras arent bad habits, its what you use them for that can make them bad. :D

@BS Unfortunetly I dont do too much research on hair bands, I mostly look up stuff about the forgotten hits. While the search is hard, finally finding information is more fullfilling and informative in the end. Though I do like hair band songs, I like New Wave more, though.

As far as the billboard-well dont let it mark the impact of any given song. I mean songs like: Modern English (73rd) Mexican Radio (53rd) and Turning Japanese (55th) never reached the top 50 in the charts (The number they reached in parenthesis) yet they had a large impact with those given songs. You cannot let the chart tell you what to like.

I mean certain people/bands may not have had many chart toppers but they had a huge impact: (In parenthesis how many top 60 the group/person got)

Talking Heads (3)
Marylin Manson (2??)
Split Enz (1)
Crowded House (1)
Jimi Hendrix (1)
Greatful Dead (1)

I mean, obviously those groups had a larger impact than just their so-called hits.
