Are you sure he's not a loose cannon?
I guess it's alright, as long as he heals me afterwards...
Eh? He is currently holding his spear in a defensive position because he doesnt trust Serena or Halya-whom he does not know

Actually, I was referring to Acolytus-inflicted wounds.
Anyway, I rewrote a bit of my post to emphasize the drama of the situation a bit more. It didn't seem to turn out well as I was writing it, and Acolytus (Tybaltus?

) missing a main point of it just confirmed my suspicion.

I would have let you guys talk to her peacefully...
but Tyb kind of blew that.
Sorry

Actually, all considered, it's going a bit better than I expected.

Hell, we still even have all our limbs attached.

It seems I (and Magus) misjudged her a bit. Magus's response should be interesting to write.
Come to think of it, are Tyb and I the only ones there?!

Our group seems to be...not much of a group. Oh well, more fun for us.

I'll get something up as soon as I finish off the couple of papers due in...the next couple of days.

Yeah, problem is that Rudar still has problems loging in...
And I'm currently focusing on Serena, not Gurney.
Do with bolth of them what you wish.

OK, you want me to fix my previous post so that it makes a bit more sense? It wont be too hard, I dont think...
And I see, I can take one of two paths in a future dialogue, each path, drastically different then the other...I need to think

That'd be cool.

As you say, the change only need be minor. Just state what you told me; or perhaps Acolytus faintly recognizes the name, but doesn't make the realization until he steps forward and sees for himself. I think the simple addition of a sentence would accomplish that.
Sorry if I seem like a writing-Nazi or something.

Just so you know, I editted my post on my own initiative, not expecting you to do the same. But if you're willing, all the better. This story is a cooperative effort, and it will only get more solid and satisfying if each of us are willing to go the extra mile to make our writing all it can be.
Lastly, don't feel like you're all to blame on this one. Like I said, much of the problem was just bad writing on my part. Hopefully it's clearer now with the edit.

Youre acting like Im upset. No worries, man. Just a bit of miscommunication here and there, and thats inevitable when youve got a group of people.
Nothing a little editing wont cure.
EDIT-there we go. Tell me if that helps the situation at all. Basically it is Acolytus acknowledging Magus' dialogue, but is in doubt, no surprise

I didn't want to seem overbearing is all. And for all I knew--you could have been upset. It's hard to tell sometimes, as I think we can all attest.
It seems my mindset and Magus's aren't all that different, eh? Who would have thunk it?

Even in life we all have our roles to play...

I have some similarities with Acolytus, but man, hes got some issues that I dont.

So sometimes, the added problems hes got makes it hard to play him to a point, but its more fun that way. I mean, Id hate to play myself in the story, that would be boring, as all I would do is rest on a stump somewhere and figure some way around the situation.

He may have problems, but I bet he could whoop you with that spear of his.
It's kind of the same with me and Gilthanas. I'd have to get myself in the "mood" when I was writing him in
The Shadowed Legacy. I'd listen to dark, depressing music as I wrote, and by the end I'd get so absorbed in the role that I'd literally become a sociophobe.

Playing Magus is somewhat more natural, which sometimes makes him less defined, character-wise, than I'd like.
Now if I could just find myself a theme song to fit Celestia I'd be all set...

Come now, I don't have any Canadian pop.
So Aegis, have you decided to relegate yourself to the role of spectator? It's alright to admit it if you don't have the motivation anymore...although I'm sure we would all sorely miss your illustrious presence, oh mighty Aegis-Rail.

Men Without Hats aren't Canadian... At least I hope not
I'm trying. After this week, my school work is dropping to zero, so I should be able to get something...

Wow...Aegis whipping out the 80's knowledge. I am surprised, especially because that song is hardly known of and the Men without Hats are commonly associated, ONLY associated with their song "Safety Dance".
Re: Acolytus-Yes, I never said he couldnt pummel me

And in order for me to get into the mood of Acolytus, I have to think of the negative relationships I have had in life, then I write and see what happens. So, thats a warning, when Im making my posts for the story, I will probably be a bit moody

I assume that's aimed at me.

No, I don't see anything wrong, as far as my character goes at least. But I don't know...capitals at the beginnings of sentences would be nice, as would starting new paragraphs when different people speak.

The capitals are purely a grammatical issue, but starting new paragraphs when speakers change is actually rather important, especially when you have a lot of dialogue going on. Just a tip in future writing, you understand.

Aye, it happens. I'm still not quite sure why we "mustn't think of you as enemies."

But you can't just post only when you have some stunning inspiration; if we all did that, the story would never get anywhere.

Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad...though I'd hardly call your writing bad.

I must admit that my own writing seems rather dry to mine eyes as of late.

Wow. Acolytus lets loose with the meaning of life...and then promptly walks off, leaving me to untangle the mess.
I'll see if I can get something up tomorrow.

Should be interesting to see how this unfolds.
