She's a distant cousin. How distant? I don't know. However, my maternal grandmother is a Doherty, and her cousins children live in Tenessee, where Shannon grew up. I've never met her, chances are I never will. Yet, the family name connection, and the fact branches of my family grew up in the same area as her...yeah, a relative of sorts.

I was just saying that I thought the Eagles song was called "Tequila", but really it's "Tequila Sunrise." My mistake.
