They thought Schwarzenegger was bad...but did they know what a giant robot looked like on the horizon? It's a dot for now, a big threat in 2008... :p

Ravager, you and I don't have a vote. But I'm sure we could help with the campaign anyway.

Heh, I'm sure.
I'll throw in random management speak and metaphors.
For instance, what does an elephant look in the distance?
(There is a point to the question :p )

Say slade, this Snap using of yours, is this because you have been reading back or could you enlighten us on its true and definite meaning, cultural and subcultural context included?

@Rav. Don't know. What does an elephant look like......?

@ Slade. You may have to suppress the sense of humour a little.
@Lestat, as far as I know SNAP is like saying oh <insert profantity> starts with an S
And is it use typical for Americans or a subset of Americans. It's just that Magrus was surprised that our token Englishman Ravvy was using it.

@Lestat, I'm token, eh? Nice. :D
Fiona wrote:@Rav. Don't know. What does an elephant look like......?
It looks like a dot and as it approaches it gets bigger...shocking eh?
That was linked to 'revision' in some study skills day we received in Sixth Form.
At least I got a sweet for recognising it was a dot on the horizon...rather than a trick question. :p

*nods*That meaning was in the slang website, I think.

I guess its typical for americans to say it....I hear a lot over here, I think its just a icer way of saying certain other stuff.....here in California or America we tend to make up stuff for other words
like:
Chillax - chill ,relax
What the Flip- What the <insert profanity> (you know what I mean right?)
Filirious- <insert profanity> hilirious
Tuck and roll- lets get going , hurry up
oh/ah snap- oh man ,sweet , oh <insert profanity>
stuff like that ;)

*nods* This was only a few years ago. They honestly expected us not to know this stuff?
Some person with a whiteboard chatting away. We were given folders etc.
Many people just gave up and went home, the school decided to take a register halfway through the morning, the irony being that they gave it to me to check who was there...and I didn't even stay for the afternoon, I left at the beginning of the lunch break.
There, another insight into the life and times of Ravvy. :D

Goodnight Lestat. See you later.

Typical for most all Americans. I've been known to use it on occasion myself, I prefer the alternate oh ( ) though :D . It's funny explaining american lingo, hehehe...

Alright well I'm off all, maybe I'll be back later... Maybe not... whatever, like it really matters...

Goodnight :D

Oh and it's good to have ya back slade :D

an elephant still looks like an elephant in the distance but to our prespective or point of view it looks like a dot because....well its far a way ;) :D

Well school is supposed to prepare you for the world of work. And there are a lot of those patronising <insert profanity>s making good money out of this sort of stuff right across the public service now. It's because they want to make better use of your tax money that they pay these "consultants"

Night Tony

Yep, at least someone's getting rich out of a fascinating day.
They could always save money and give us a day off instead. ;)
I'm just looking forward to the next big event - Skills Week. Gahhhh!

See you later Tony.

Well, I'm really not looking forward to Skills Week (16th Jan), not because it's difficult but it does mean full days of University (rush hour commuting both ways  ) and lots of it is bound to be sitting around 4 hours or whatever waiting for some pointless event that goes on for an hour at the end of the day.
And the best part is that everyone has to pass it as part of the course. :o
