While we were away an odd thing happened. A man phoned me. He did not identify himself. He asked me if I owned a car reg No...... I do. He asked if I was aware that I had left the off-side window wide open. I wasn't. He said a neighbour had reported it but did not know who I was or where I live
It was very nice of someone to tell me this. But it bothers me that they can find my phone number etc like that.

They need to find you if any wrongdoing happens with that car. It is nice to hear that they don't use it only for that.

True. I am easily made uneasy by strangers on the phone for other reasons. You are right, it is probably not bad. But........ *shrugs*
